Re: FFR's Top One Handers
Nice scores both of you, and glad to see that we have two more potential participants. Here are a few scores I've gotten tonight - I was working on tier points and thought these were good:
This one is actually really messy, I totally bombed the part after the long streams. :X

Nice attempt iironic, it's tough playing that way isn't it? Reminds me of the last one-handed tournament I hosted - lots of spread players tried to one-hand songs and had a tough time of it. Lots of fun.

Re: FFR's Top One Handers
It's really tough no doubt! I started playing FFR with two hands, so I never knew what it's like to play one handed! It's a fun challenge though (:

Re: FFR's Top One Handers
I'd join, would be interested to see where I rank among one-handers. I might try to frequent this thread more, though not really sure what scores would be good to post.
(I put in my profile that I also started trying two-handed but I haven't really gotten around to doing that very much yet :P at least while I'm in tournaments I'm going to keep going this way.) |

Re: FFR's Top One Handers
Nice to see you back. However, I can't add you to the list simply because you have begun playing spread. In order to preserve the integrity of the list I can only allow people who have achieved 100% of their scores on that account exclusively one-handed. I hope you understand. Of course, nothing is preventing you from having an alternate one-handed only account and using that - if you make the list then I can add your main name in parenthesis to denote who the person is.

Re: FFR's Top One Handers
Well, we haven't had very many pure one-handers post - I'm still awaiting for some additional people to post before I do an update (it takes a lot of time you know). As you can tell, this thread has largely been dead since 2009 - only a few pages worth of posts have come after that. So to that end, I'm awaiting confirmation as to whether some of these old players still play or not. Can't have a list with just 5 or so people.

Re: FFR's Top One Handers
One handed tournament sounds awesome. Would using four fingers be allowed?

Do you use your thumb or pinky when playing 4-fingered? I've seen both used, but from what I understand using the thumb is more effective - korny (an insane 4-fingered one hander) used the numpad when doing four-fingered. He used the 4/6/8/0 keys, if I recall.

Re: FFR's Top One Handers
Excellent. It seems quite a few people are interested - I'm going to get the new post and format up and running, and I should have it out on the 29th or so - Spring Break begins for me at that time so I'll have ample time to tend to the needs and demands that it requires as well as enough time to get any homework I need done out of the way.
EDIT: If you wanna reminisce about the last time we did this, go here: http://www.flashflashrevolution.com/...ght=One-Handed

And even if I somehow did improve a score with two hands, I could easily do better with one hand right now. |
