I guess if you put a gun to my head, I got this nagging feeling it's Round so if I absolutely have to solve this game I'm sticking to my gut on this one, past failures be damned
If Haku never returns I will offer a trust to Raeko like, an hour away from deadline
If went to the casino and had to bet money on Toko being town or wolf in this game. I would have loss every time.
I guess it's a good thing Charu was here. Got lucky he wasn't a wolf consider my premise was wrong.
I still don't know if I'm sold on Lar even after sunfan's exit
how is his trust fall on sunfan different here from Toko's on Haku? timing-wise, Haku, wouldn't this also be the same thing but with different language?
Here's lar's post:
just read this post and imagine Lar is a wolf. we know sunfan and Galaxink are town now, so keep that in mind too.
If lar is a wolf here:
Freezin's fall on Lewdy is still open. If you wanted to apply the logic of "wanted to get the wolf win together at the same time", that applies here too
He's suggesting sacrificing himself as a townie BASED SOLELY ON THE ASSUMPTION sunfan/Galaxink were w/w partners and did a big brain distancing play trust falling like that
it just tastes different. it hinges on the strategy of saving the most townie town players until the very end, but what end does this serve but swing open the door for sending pairs with nulls/wildcards?
Yeah, Sunfan had to get really close of the deadline of this phase before Lewdy actually decided to vote out Freezin.
I was so distracted by the Toko/me vs Lewdy/Freezin that I kind of overlooked Lar/Sunfan.
In a way, the exact same play could have been happening, but Lewdy eventually voted relatively before EoD to not raise suspicion too much I'd assume ?
In that world, it gives more room to MML to keep trying.
I just hate that in that world, I would probably intentionally wait to the very last second in hope Sunfan accept the vote and bank on a win.
Maybe it was too risky and not worth it for the partner ? Maybe, that's not the partner.
I had MML as top town for vibes, but mechanically speaking, the Sunfan/Lar trust fall nullified that feel for me. (well, I understand why he would play that if town. I just wish trust falls didn't come in pairs. That tickles my paranoia in the worst way.)
Most of the things I dislike in Roundbox/Raeko seems to come by association to what I think Lewdy's partner would do and this way of thinking has been not going well for me to say the least. (ahem, hi Toko)
If I ignore all the noise on associations with Lewdy, you two are on a cleaner slate I feel.
I've reread the entire thread and I absolutely regret trying to do reads by "association of who could be Lewdy's partner" and "how the remaining 3 timelines would exist in relation to it".
I just feel horrible right now. Like I'm supposed to do work, but my mind is fried. I'm not even sure how much time there's left before this final EoD.
Is Raeko pulling a Vegan Wolf play on me ? (aka doing nothing wrong and building town cred enough so I trust fall her and get rekt)
Did MML somehow almost had the opportunity to end the game last checkpoint and win with Lewdy ? (but they played safe for this checkpoint)
..or Lewdy was alone most of the time playing his own game, saying hi to everyone and eventually Roundbox started playing because the game was filled with chaos anyway.
Not so simple for me.
Mechanically speaking, I kind of don't want to trust fall MML due to the MML/Sunfan trust fall ironically, but MML also had the best "town vibes" out of all 3 imo.
Raeko to me has felt very "grounded" and maybe a bit distracted from the game ? (wolf chat?) Watching a movie, being tired at the beginning of the game, chatting a bit with everyone. I feel like I don't know what I want from her this game.
There's almost a thematic of intentionally avoiding having an agenda so she can safely reach the end game where I no longer trust anyone except her. Honestly, that timeline is so insane that I kind of want to trust fall here gun to the head. It would just be such a brutal ending to this game tho.
I feel like Roundbox is starting to have more involvement in the game than Raeko. I was going to say the trust fall was opportunistic, but he did say good points on page 72. What I hate is that this shift feels like how I would make a classic standard wolf progression toward the wincon.
I'm too tired to make a decision tonight.
Objectively, I'm leaning toward Roundbox/Raeko which is a shame because MML did a lot of things that should be making me town read him.
I'm having trouble to not assume there's some sort of "keeping Haku alive" shady agenda. I'm probably just projecting my own paranoia toward others at this rate.
My mind keeps going like: "If A) and B) is town and C) is the wolf then does it makes sense in relation to the rest of the game ?" That part keeps messing with me.
Gotta sleep.
ps: You did nothing wrong Toko. I even assumed you were not a new player somehow despite you mentioning it.
I feel like at this point I'd just be spinning in circles thinking of any other possibility and it would be pointless
If you don't trust me what do you need from me?? I will try my best
Roundbox/MML both did mechanical moves, but you did nothing. It's almost unbelievable you haven't yet.
I'm probably just trying to comfort myself that I'm in a Monty Hall Problem with 3 doors.
Honestly, your post suggesting me to vote MML sounds so unbelievably selfless and vibe oriented that I cannot feel a wolf agenda here because it's a post I could have mostly glanced over and moved on.
It reminds me of Sunfan's post telling me to trust fall Shadow God instead of himself.
...
Okay, that wasn't a good example, but you get the point.
Haku you are absolutely insane if you think Lewdy waits on little ol' me for shit. If you go back and read my offer to SunFan, I spell out very clearly why I did it (granted half the reason in hindsight is dogshit, because it was to solve you and Lewdy for this exact scanerio and that would have lost us the game, but the other half was to see if I couldn't force SunFan to either prove he was town or mechanically out a possible Galanx partner).
I don't fucking know how Round looks at that and is like "Yeah Lar had to be coordinating with a wolf partner here" like lol fucking no. Hell I've had people in post game try and rip me anew asshole for not wanting to be in wolf chat in the past I don't coordinate shit as wolf
To answer your question, I already have: Roundbox is the last wolf
Dudes not trying to solve he's trying to win in a way that I don't trust, plain and simple. I think I have to concede that SunFan was just fucking right here all the way around and that hurts to admit because secretly I think I'm a better player then him but in truth, I'm just not
