Regarding missing scores
FFR Community,
On April 9th, Velocity made an error in a script which resulted in a large amount of valid scores being dropped from the database when they should not have. The only scores affected were those where the combined “Perfect + Good + Average + Miss + Boo” were greater than the amount of notes in the song. The exact problem was that “Boo” should not have been included in this check. AAAs and incomplete scores were not affected by this mistake.
The following scores have been recovered:
• Complete database backup made on October 24, 2014
• All scores recorded from: April. 7th, April. 8th, and April 9th.
• noname219′s efforts to collect archives from external sources will also fill a number of missing scores.
• Saved replays
We will be continuing to recover these over the next few days:
• 10th Official Tournament dashboard scores
Additionally, we will be able to manually recover any scores submitted to the Score Recovery Form. These steps will restore a large portion of the lost scores, but will not account for any scores recorded between October 25, 2014 through April 6, 2015.

April 2015 Site Updates
Hello again, FFR community! We hope you had a happy April Fools. We’re back this month for another installment of exciting updates!
What’s New?

Raw Scoring has replaced Combo Scoring as the standard scoring type across all FFR engines! Raw Scoring is calculated by your raw point total, and is not affected by combo. Don’t let a rogue miss ruin a personal best score ever again! (Please note that the transition to raw scoring is not fully complete yet: The in-game highscores will continue to display your “rank” and “last best” by combo scoring until they can be re-coded to reflect this update).
Level Ranks and Song Level Stats are now ranked by raw scoring. Refresh your level ranks, and embark on a fresh and exciting average rank grind adventure today!
Skill Rating level ranks are now public. You may view another players’ top 50 scores by searching their username on the FFR Leaderboards and clicking the stats icon next to their name.
Average Rank and Grandtotal Rank stats displayed on profiles now exclude banned and blacklisted accounts.* We hope this change will provide a much better representation of your actual standings on the FFR Leaderboards.

Songs of the Week (April 1, 2015)
Welcome to the start of April! We’ve got three songs to start this month off with a bang for all of you:
- DossarLX ODI and Xiz provide another song from The Gregory Brothers, this time dealing with autotuned news related to smoking lettuce and American Exceptionalism.
- nestlekwik made a file long ago that was never released to the public but now we’ve decided to provide it as an unlockable skill token. If you’re having a bad day and happen to booflag nestlekwik’s stepfile for Trip to the Moon (Club Remix), this is a reward from nestlekwik for getting PWND! by a difficulty 1 file.
- And the third release is the file you’ve all been waiting for to get ingame… ROBOTOMY! It’s finally available for everyone to play and it’s a very difficult file, so be prepared to get destroyed by choof’s boss song.
