A Puzzle To Keep You Occupied
With Synth working hard up optimizing and updating our SmartFox (which is why ProChat and MP are currently down), I thought it’d be nice to give all you guys a little distraction.
Be the 1st person to solve this FFR releated puzzle and win 50,000 credits and a 6 month subscription. Post your answers in the comments of this story.
NOTE: do NOT post the answers to the 8 individual questions…Â you will only be helping other people!
1. Number of songs with 1 AAA.
2. The userID of the 1st person besides Synth to step a song for FFR minus that user’s age minus the levelID of the 2nd song he stepped.
3. The average levelID of the 3rd widget.
4. Find all the letters of the alphabet that are not represented as the 1st letter of an FFR artist (including widgets). In HEX, the sum of these lowercase letters.
5. This song has the highest percentage of AAAs per users who have played it (minimum of 500+ AAAs). Take the number of AAAs (rounded to the nearest hundred) divided by the percentage of users who have AAAd (rounded to the nearest 10 percent).
6. The number of notes in the second song by Excluded added to FFR.
7. The average rank (rounded to the nearest whole number) of the user who has the 2nd best average rank out of users who are 8th in their region.
8. Assuming all clicks were accepted, the number of t-shirts we’ve given away from linking to FFR.
Sum the answers to the above 8 questions and your answer will be the number of notes in a song (or songs). what song(s)?

so, i think i found something… i hadn’t thought about it earlier though. in terms of the 3rd widget, i’m talking about the 3rd widget MADE… not the 3rd one announced as being released. aka, the 3rd one we announced was not actually the 3rd one we made. there were a few made before it, but were not released until a little later.
and camille: you’re over thinking… i’m merely saying that any letter not in FFR, convert it to HEX using lowercase. if i did not specify upper or lowercase, it would be ambiguous and would have 2 potential solutions.

The third Widget is Automatic Loveletter — there are three songs with ID’s of 436, 437, and 438 for an average of 437. Had to sort of brute-force it though until (that number + the sum of the other 7)*1550 = something on the levelranks

Explanation of solutions:
#1 – use extended level stats to get 6 (apparently there is a 7th that isn’t on extended level stats… but i did say that it can be solved easily, meaning extended level stats)
#2 – Nestlekwik was the 1st besides Synth. He is userID 92. He is 27. His 2nd file is levelID 22. 92-27-22 = 43
#3 – The tough one! if you had gone to flashflashrevolution.com/widgets, it would have been really simple for you. A little research would show (through front page news posts) that Making April was the 1st widget. LoveHateHero was the 2nd. Then, you’ll note Valencia, Veritas, then These Silhouettes in chronological order on the page. Valencia only had 1 level at the time and didn’t get a widget until months later. Veritas is only 1 level… not a widget. That leaves These Silhouettes as 3rd. The average levelID is 429.
#4 – The only letter not represented by one of our artists is Q. The lowercase value in HEX for q is 71.
#5 – Again, use extended level stats… and Disconnected should immediately jump out at you. 1502 AAAs and only 2401 players. That is 62.5%. so 1500 / 60 = 25.
#6 – The 2nd excluded song is For Who I Am, which has 184 steps. The song list would have told you this easily.
#7 – Regional rank page makes this simple… just look at everyone who is rank 8, and take the guy with the 2nd best average rank. Answer is 45.
#8 – Come Play With Me is the key to this one. Get 5000 on the CPWM count to get a t-shirt. there are 5 accounts over 5000, but 1 is over 10,000 which would be a 2nd shirt. Answer is 6.
Add them all up for 809, which is the note count for Glove Stage – Ultra Sweden.
