Default Converting DVD to AVI

Anyone know a good free program for converting DVD's to an AVI format? I have a bunch of discs of visuals I want to add to a few stepfiles.

I used a thing called Google.

All I found was trials for a program to convert DVD to AVI format. I really wouldnt pay 25$, let alone anything, for the thing.

Might be easier for you to find the same video files on a file sharing network. Copy protection and whathaveyou.

Alternatively: http://www.wikihow.com/Rip-a-DVD

Basically, google search for "DVD ripping software" and things of that nature until you can turn up something useful. Might take a while though, because like that how-to I linked to says, they're apparently illegal by nature.

Might also be able to find the video on Youtube, and if I recall, there are methods to downloading videos from Youtube in a format which is easily usable.

You could also tell us what you want and maybe we could point you in the right direction to finding the relevant video from a more direct source.

I already own the DVD and the main owner already cleared it as long as it's not a super-high quality rip.

Maybe it's time to get some real decent help around here... This site has done its magic for me ever since I've found it:

http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

SUPER converter, indeed. =) You'd be amaze at how many things it can convert. Oh btw... IT'S FREEWARE, BABY!

EDIT: The only thing that I don't like about it is that it takes forever to execute. However, it still performs great for me.
