La Réunion Photos! (also, hi guys!)

Hey everyone!!!

Sup FFR, hopefully you guys haven't forgotten me completely

I promised a few people before leaving that I'd post some pictures of my new tiny lil island home, so here are some photos that I have taken (or a couple that I've stolen from other assistants' facebooks) since I got onto La Reunion three weeks ago and started my job as an English assistant.

I DO have internet (yay) but I won't be able to play FFR (boo), and thus far my internet time has been fairly limited. But I miss you all, am alive and well, having the time of my life, and I think of you all often. I HAVE been able to jump on skype, so feel free to friend me on there if you feel like chatting sometime :3 Anyway:

Here is the view from my room! I see gorgeous mountains and have a great view of the town from my lil balcony.


I saw my first chameleon a few days after arriving!

This is the view of my town from a hill above my house just as night is falling. It's my favorite picture that I've taken since I've been here. I really am so lucky.


We took a trip to the beach!!! They have a really big shark problem here though (three attacks this year, which is quite a lot, evidently) so I didn't swim. ;P


We also watched our first beach sunset. Absolutely no words.


Last weekend, we took a hike in the mountains! I don't actually have any pictures from the hike (left my memory card in my laptop like a goon) but this is the lovely mountain town we stayed in!


After the hike, we had a lovely singalong around a small campfire!


Oh, and this is my friend's pool, where we hang out when we aren't working or traveling.

Life is rough, man. ;P I don't have any pictures with my kids yet, but I'll throw 'em up here if/when I get some. They are the most wonderful kids I've ever met.
