Some of us keep avatars for years, while others change them quite often. How many different avatars have you had on FFR? Remember any previous ones that you really liked? Share your stories behind your avatar history here!

I'll start. My current avatar is my 55th according to the site, though I've not kept some for that long:

Looking back at my Photobucket, this seems to be the one I first used, haha...


For a while after, I used various Tails avatars. I remember this one the best.


Then came Linus from Peanuts, mid-2009.


Skip to post-revival. Miyakodance!


When mid-2011 rolled around, I began putting credits to use and buying profiles from people. Early 2012 is when I started to try my hands on making some myself. The avatars usually went along with them. Linked the ones I could find/still had.

mid-2011: Shinonome Hakase (Nichijou)
late 2011: Sakura Kiyomi (Ika Musume)
early 2012: Kaga Rin (Usagi Drop)
mid-2012: Miki Sayaka (Madoka Magica) -> Hastur (Nyaruko-san) -> Tanigawa Kanna (Ano Natsu de Matteru) (This was one of my personal favorite profiles, though I lost the .psd's and images for it x.x)
late 2012: Jirachi (Pokémon) -> Funami Yui (Yuru Yuri)
early 2013: Flower (Kowarekake no Orgel) -> Natsume Rin (Little Busters!) -> Noumi Kudryavka (Little Busters!) - one I had before my current avi.

(I helped out reuben_tate with the Solo Tournament by updating the scores spreadsheet and he rewarded me with a Pokemon profile of my choice so this avatar comes from the Blastoise profile that he made for me (there was a pokemon profile fad going on at the time))

(This avatar is from the Madoka profile that Pseudo Enigma made for me. There were quite a few people with Madoka profiles at the time and I had recently watched that anime)

(This avatar comes from the Buizel Pokegirl profile that Evnoir made for me back when there was a Pokegirl profile fad going on.)

I used to have no avatar back in 2008 but then in 2009 I started having random GIFs like these:







Then FFR went down in late 2009. Of course at this time I still had no profile made like I do now, so I just wound up dumping a bunch of alphes stuff I found in the 2010 period

This list has most of what I used, but I do notice some are missing. I think some of them got deleted when I was making space on my computer.

Hakulyte had an ideolo avatar of Nue at the time. I decided to use kaoru's here. Then there were some avatar shenanigans.

There have been other avatars, but I've pretty much used my current one my entire tenure on this site. Cheers to Alain for making it for me way way back in the day.

Not that it really matters, but i have avatars and signatures turned off so I really have no intention of changing/updating this.

I've gotten a new PC 2 years ago, so I don't have my old ones from 3-5 years ago anymore, but these are some recent ones I've had. I know I've changed them a lot recently, but I really got into working with graphics so yeah. I'll just post ones I've kept for a longer period of time than some others. Yes, I'm obviously a Bowser fan, so I'll probably always have him for an avatar from now on. Not really in order but...

I've been thinking about switching back to the 4th or 6th one, since I really like the modern retro style, but I also like his SSB4 render... and his sprites from M&L: BIS. Ugh... I dunno.
