Dance pad question.
If I wanted to play Stepmania/FFR with a pad, what all materials would I need and how would I set it up?

Re: Dance pad question.
A pad and a good PS2>USB converter (or whatever console your pad is designed for). If the converter is good, everything should work out pretty simply.

Re: Dance pad question.
So if I had a pad that wasn't designed for a PS2>USB converter, what would I need, and do most pads come with a PS2>USB converter?

Re: Dance pad question.
You would need a converter for whatever peripheral the pad was designed for, so that you can connect it to your computer. If it happens to be a pad that you could directly connect to your computer, you wouldn't need a converter.
Also pads don't come with converters. You need to buy them separately.

Re: Dance pad question.
Sorry to bump a rather old thread, but I've been looking for some pads and converters. I have only found pads, though. Can anyone give any brand names or an idea where I can find converters?

Cobalt Flux
^ Best quality bad you can get, far as I'm aware. $400 though. CPU-compatable.

Re: Dance pad question.
Just burn a ITG2 iso to a DVD and play it on your PS2. Much cheaper that way.

Re: Dance pad question.
I don't have a PS2, but I won't need one, will I? If the dance pad is designed to hook up to a PS2, can't I just use a PS2 to USB connector to directly connect the pad with my computer?
I know the different kinds of pads, but does anyone know brand names for connectors?
