Story mode !?

so i was just thinking that some type of story mode in FFR might be a cool idea. Perhaps starting from beginners all the way to fgo. It would give people a fun way to finally get their average rank down and users actual skill level would be more accurate. Im thinking this would attract some old members back and might even be a new reason for more people to join ffr. Someones probably already thought of this..just trying to spark some imagination for new ideas

Actually it might not be a bad idea if it could be pulled off. However it could possibly detract members if the story mode is not well planned out. There could also be a few challenges where you would try to get as many boos, averages, misses, or goods as possible.
Another challenge in story mode, could be where you cant hit a certain color arrow. Maybe an endless challenge would work to, where you have to play five songs in a row with no break.
Like I said it would be hard to do so that it wouldn't end up as just a lame side game, but done correctly I think it could work.

I like the idea. We could have it play like super mario bros three. where you travel world to world, level by level, hopping in with different songs

special randoms, events, items, even sprites on screen.

I can dig it.

DDR for the 360 tried doing something like this, i think it added a lot to the game.

DDR for the 360 tried doing something like this, i think it added a lot to the game.

I feel like DDR for the 360 failed pretty badly due to the distracting backgrounds, gay feel of the game, and bad music. Also to be honest the story mode in it was pretty bad.

Well the idea of FFR was already jacked might as well finish up with 'Endless mode' a.k.a "Nonstop Mode". Afta that we could insert more mods and start making courses =o

Nay to this idea, its not worth it and with only 1 really active admin (Tass) with 1 really powerful mod (Spritzer). This wont work.

I can't think of a storyline for ffr that wouldn't be incredibly corny. There's not enough of a real-world relationship to exploit.

Automatically running you through a marathon of level x difficulty songs and sending all the scores you get would be neat, though.

You: Just joined this site you heard about. Called FFR. Seems pretty good, but you're not too good at the game. Perhaps some work with level twos will help.

[Level Three] - [Very Easy]
You: So, recently Multiplayer came to th site. You haven't been doing so hot, you know you need practice. The basics first, let's work on some level threes.

You get the point. Good graphics and a decent story line will take it pretty far. Really good idea, man. The best I've ever seen.

"Story" mode can just be a title for it. There doesn't have to be a story.

I think it would be neat to have a linear mode of play in which certain level are picked out, rising in difficulty. You could even make each "level" a random selection of 3 different levels of the same difficulty, so you don't necessarily know what you'll get through each play, but it's still not retardedly difficult on any one play.

Anyways, not really a groundbreaking idea but a fun one.

maybe it could be something like west side story... lol
u dance aginst people for... money? or something... which could unlock new songs
and edurance mode also sounds intresting...

Sounds like a terrible idea. Skill tokens encourage new users to be more accurate, and level rank encourages all users to improve.

Besides, being forced to play easy songs just to get to the harder songs would deter MANY people.
