Yeah sometimes I AAA the really hard parts and get goods in the easy parts, that's what happened in Mario Minor and epidermis and balloon fever for myself.

I also remember playing Novo Mundo and the song was so boring and I have bad habits in easy parts so when the slowdown came I got a boo AND two goods and I AAA'd everything else

Another reason why I blackflag songs is because doubles/hands in ffr aren't like stepmania so if you hit one arrow of a double in the perfect and the other arrow of the double slightly off you get a good, that is exactly what happened to me in Mario Minor, that is why I can't do jumpstream in ffr that well lol

you're probably not AAAing easy parts because the notes are further apart and thus each note is constrained within a looser window relative to its neighbours

I've black flagged forgotten planet :<

Someone's just frustrated because I'm beating them to 200 AAAs.

Honestly, I thought your AAA count was going to shoot up right away. I think it's partially a focus issue and partially a lag issue for you. In order to FC the songs you have FCed (especially one-handed), you must have incredible rhythm resolution; i.e., you can perceive very small differences in rhythm over time. That's all you technically need to AAA these easier songs.

The trouble is (as Patashu is very aptly pointing out) that the notes, despite being farther away from each other in time, still must be hit within that 3 frame window, so you must really focus yourself on the amount of time the silence (or blackness, if you're playing solely visually) in-between notes takes up to know where those 3 frames are at. So, on tougher songs you actually get additional information by having more frequent notes, which it why I think it takes more poise to AAA on the easier songs than the harder ones. There are other reasons for the harder ones being hard, but that's mostly straight technique, which you obviously have plenty of.

I still play with the audio on even if the sync sucks, because usually I can make some adjustments visually, and the audio can help guide me in a more general way (mostly so I know what part is coming next). Autofail is only useful when you have a blackflag or a booflag, where you can

So,
#1. Get a subbie. I'll see what I can do to help you out. You should PM me with what you can afford credit-wise and perhaps we can work out a special credit pricing rate for you for a 3 monther.
#2. Buckle down. Keep practicing at it. It will get easier.

I had 83 BF's last time I counted, but it should be going down since I'm AAA'ing stuff now. Hopefully you can get the patience to go through and actually get AAA's.

Redsky has a point. It is all about focus. I felt the same way everytime I don't AAA a song a day. Then I wait a while and go back to it and I get some AAA's. Like today for example! Now, I have some blackflags, booflags and even a couple avgflags (if that is a word), I just keep playing the song until I get it. If I get frustrated; I stop and try the next day. It will get AAA'ed eventually....you just have to be patient. I know you can do better than what you have so far.

With an attitude like that; you are right. There is some psychology behind all of this. If you say that you won't be able to do it; you are going to want to prove yourself right; so now I am asking you to prove yourself wrong. C'mon man!

I'm starting to notice a lot of songs are off, too. I couldn't tell if it was all in my head or not. I like to hit notes right at the moment the sound breaks the silence, but have found that I get a fair number of goods if I do this. If I hit it a fraction of a second later on all of the notes, I AAA the song (at least on the two Weatus songs). It could be a perceptual thing - if you're focused on the song properly the song sounds off even though it's on time, but I'm glad to hear others experience the same thing.

Sorry to say this but... If you aren't AAA'ing very many songs you aren't exactly "raping". Maybe a desk...
