I go to VGDC, Press Start To Play, and even get feedback from all of my friends who say that they love these games. As soon as I get to FFR, however, people suddenly seem to hate them. On top of that, it atleast seems as if Squeek, Tokzic and others are trying to hide the fact that the majority of the people who have played these games have enjoyed them. THPS2 took everything THPS had and made things infinitely better. The only way THPS2 could have been better would be if it included the soundtrack and full level list of THPS (only a few levels were playable and required a gameshark just to access... stupid). In addition, there is THPS2x, which DOES have all of the levels from THPS and THPS2 AND it has better graphics than the original version. In addition, each subsequent game in the line has refined the game. Play one of the current gen THPS games, then immediately pop in THPS or THPS2. You'll **** your pants at how non-smooth it is, especially if you try THPS rather than THPS2. Now, I'm not saying Tony Hawk's American ****land is a better game than Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 (nor am I saying that impossibly unrealistic features that serve no purpose but to increase comboing makes the game better either). What I am saying is that if THPS2 were made today, it would play even better, and not just because of better graphics on the new consoles. The game simply plays much smoother now. Seriously, pop in a current gen THPS game and play for like an hour, then immediately pop in THPS. You will **** your pants by how sloppy it feels, even if you remember it feeling really great back when it was new. Honestly, though, rather than another Tony Hawk game, what I'd like to see is a massive emulation/re-release thing... think like Super Mario All-stars. Then again, they might have a hard time doing a full story mode on it, but I wouldn't mind them dropping it? Arcade style is better anyway. Oh and by the way: what the **** are you guys doing why is this not locked number one: already a guitar hero thread in the proper forum number two: wrong forum number three: stupidity number four: who cares number five: seriously how could there NOT be a GH4? number six: since when is "There will be a Guitar Hero 4 game coming out eventually" open grounds to start talking about Tony Hawk? oh ps It's not that it has sucked since then, it just isn't anything special anymore. To me, it feels more like I'm playing a patched version of the previous game rather than a sequel.

Re: *UPCOMMING* Guitar Hero 4
yeah well like most things Tony Hawk should have been limited to one or two sequels because normally it never gets better after the first, second, or third.
or in the case of The Land Before Time, never |

hey now Littlefoot and his adventures were important staples in the lives of many for understanding dinosaurs and how they escaped from Sharp Tooth attacks.

I think he means songs from the previous games in addition to the new ones. If not....Well, that's why I ignored that post.

Re: *UPCOMMING* Guitar Hero 4
I think that this is a dumb idea as i am typing this but....there should be a GH: Greatest hits game that has songs people voted on. it would be nice to be able to play TTFAF and then thunderhorse without switching disks

Re: *UPCOMMING* Guitar Hero 4
Because we know about music games and what kind of potential they need. VGDC has average gamers who knows nothing about music games, considering that most of them only played Guitar Hero.

Don't just assume that because part of the title is only restricted to "Video Games" and not "Music Video Games" that they're completely ignorant toward music games, or music in general.

Re: *UPCOMMING* Guitar Hero 4
boooooo gh3 is fun, good songlist, good challenges, mostly good notecharts
I just played gh1 pretty extensively and it feels dated already, it's got a few great songs but it's just not that fun overall the **** why extension on the combo system from 1-4 was actually effective and important, single player stuff in 4 and underground ruled, online play Quote:

Fairies with Attitude? Is that like a joke song name or something? I mean, I realize the whole list is a joke, but at least they were real song names.

It adds and extra challenge because the guitar charts aren't NEARLY as challenging for those GH fanatics. I actually don't mind the Rock Band gear whatsoever due to it being created BASED ON REAL INSTRUMENTS, and not the cheap arcady feel of the GH series. However, I admit I don't mind GH guitars, but GHIII definitely messed up on that guitar model. In terms of the games themselves, I think Rock Band offers a more versitile list of songs and really hammers out some old school songs along with some incredible new-day tracks. Being a metal fan I DO wish there was more in terms of that, but the addition of the drums, bass part (with additional multiplyers and fun tuning when in bass mode), and the mic which I found much more fun in multi. The only problem with MP on Rock Band is the skill differences based on the instrument you play, because as we all know, drums on that game > anything else in the game according to the difficulty level. I also liked the downloadable content which allowed for even more songs in the set and shows dedication to making full-on charts for all parts. On a final note, Rock Band even appeals to those that find entertainment in just "being a band" and are releasing a set of stage-items such as lights and a smoke-machine (which I wouldn't buy), but does grab those that really want to rock out. But as I've said in the past, if you seriously want to "rock out" and not look like a douche with a plastic guitar, just learn to play a real one or some sort of real instrument!!!!!! [EMPHASIS!] And however much I would LOVE to see FotS and Bat Country, I'd rather not hear it from an untrustworthy n00b. POST PROOF IF YOU'RE GOING TO SPREAD NEWS!!!!!!
