Blizzard
So did anyone get hit by the blizzard? Mostly by central eastern states.
Lake Shore Drive this morning in Chicago. Looks like something out of a movie where the world is about to end. I can tell you, that shoveling was a bitch! Info on it here: http://www.myfoxchicago.com/dpp/news...-home-20110202

Re: Blizzard
Rochester NY here. All the hype amounted to 2-3 inches overnight, but it's supposed to keep snowing for the next four days (as usual wow rochester weather sucks).

Re: Blizzard
Yeah, if it's gonna snow for the next 4 days, you might possibly get what we get, so stay home if it starts to get really bad.

Re: Blizzard
Nice pics AJ, it's similar how it was in front of my house, but I took about 2 hours shoveling, so I can't take pics now.

Re: Blizzard
Getting hit by the Blizzard now. 40+ cm predicted over the next 24 hours for us, D: (That's about 16 inches for you damn Americans ).
For the record, I have seen worse. 6 or 7 years ago we were hit by a storm that dropped about 100+ cm over a single night (3.3+ feet), closing the city down for 3 days, and schools for the whole week. (Here's a pic from that event: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3245/...c7d19f13c8.jpg )

Re: Blizzard
It's warm out here :3
But I actually like the snow so I kinda miss it. Yea these huge storms can be a pain in the ass but we only get to see them what like every 7-8 yrs. At least that's how it was in Jersey. I'd be making some snow tunnels or something lol On a side note this isn't from this storm but a friend in Jersey posted these a little while ago. This is what we do when we get snow up there XD

Re: Blizzard
It's hilarious now but oh man it was bad at the time lmao. There was too much snow to even shovel. There was no way out of the house for almost 2 days because the snow was up to near the top of the door. Even when we could get outside, only people with snowmobiles could drive around since there were no roads. After about 3 days we had roads, but you couldn't drive anywhere safely because the snowbanks at the side of the road were over 5 feet in most places, meaning you couldn't see around the turns XD

Re: Blizzard
Here in Texas, we're told to experience rolling black outs over the next few days.
edit: Folks in the Houston area will be looking at getting snow Thursday night or Friday night. |

Re: Blizzard
Long Island, NY here we had an ice storm last night and most of the schools had a delayed opening waiting for the ice to melt. We now have huge puddles everywhere that will be freezing into thick sheets of ice making traveling pretty dangerous.
That and the 2-3+ feet of snow we have accumulated has made traveling very difficult.

Re: Blizzard
Definitely thought this was gonna be about the game company. XD
But I'm too far north; this didn't hit me. There's still 43 inches of snow on the ground as of Jan 31st, my source tells me .
