Well first of all, you always see arrows, second of all, if you play spread, and if you don't you're most likely a self conceited fool, then you will have your finger on the key, and if your PA isn't crap, you should smack it head on, so no, I really don't get what you're talking about lmao.

You explained it just fine, unless you explained the wrong idea. In which case, you simply suck at explaining, not that it's hard to explain.

There's no point in hesitating something that you're prepared for. Otherwise it's not called prepared for, and from what you explained, you were certainly prepared for it.

There are a couple reasons why this could happen:

1) You play by ear more than you play by sight for timing purposes. So you prepare yourself for the note but wait for the sound that indicates you're supposed to hit that note. You wait for the sound to start the button press rather than anticipating and having your finger down when the sound plays.

2) You play more by sight than by ear. You see a note and wait for it to cross the target to hit it, so you start your motion when the arrow crosses the target rather than in advance.

The moral of the story is anticipate more; lay back less.

Does this ever happen to you?
I see and am appropriately prepared for a jump ("double", whatever you call it), but I only hit one of the arrows. My other finger doesn't press the button with enough force to register, and I totally miss the arrow.

I have this problem a lot seeing as I play index, either that or I miss they key and hit that blank spot on my keyboard.

But I sometimes get the OP's problem to on songs like Monstrous Turtles, Vertex Beta and {Rose}. I don't know why it happens but it does. So I stop play it again and if it happens I go play a few other songs and come back.
