Default It's sad... :(

In just 2 months FFRs active user count dropped by 11000.

;_____;

It has dropped almost 40,000 since I joined. It's depressing.

Where'd you get this info? Btw, if it's accurate that's depressing.

The whole site's dropping, Zag. The best we can do is not kick it when it's down like SM.

People who aren't active now weren't active in the first place. Not to put myself above others or anything, but you need the gall to stay at FFR even during your college app season to be considered a real active member.

That's the way to think imo.

It'll make a resurgence, I think. Just wait for 3rd style. All of the problems everywhere in the world will be solved by its coming. AIDS? No more. Poverty? No more. Hunger? No more. Rickrolls? Maybe. It's not really a problem to the rickroller...

I'm playing less and less also. If it wasn't for the forums and chat, I'd be outta here.

SM seems to be going through some originality problems too. I could be mistaken, but if sm goes back up, i think ffr will in turn.

I'm pretty sure that's why a lot of people are still active.

I would try to bring users here, but I'm not sure the community would be very accepting of that. Often times a lot of us aren't very welcoming..

High school and College/University is more important than this place for them.

Everyone comes, everyone goes. It's life. I might have to restrict my self from here next year for University prep and such.

Honestly, I've stopped playing FFR religiously like I used to. I've moved to SM. I don't like the timing windows in FFR. I could AAA a file with decent PA in SM, but then play the same exact file in FFR and not even SDG it. I hope in 3rd style they double the frames so that the timing is more like that in SM. I bet more people will come once 3rd style is out though.

Agreed. I AAA'd reality in stepmania but in FFR I sometimes can't even FC it because of the poor timing windows (and hey I'd get all these averages and goods in the stream LOL)

Well for one, Summer is over, which probably makes a difference. School is in session for most users, and not everyone has as much time on their hands. You typically see the active user base spike in the Summer.

Thread-hijack: How exactly do FFR and SM differ in timing?
