my high school was 20ish miles from where i lived so there was no point in ditching

i didnt have a car ;_;

i did skip half of my english101 class and passed though so that was cool

It was so easy here to just stroll out of the school gates while changing lessons. Hardly an escape, it's not prison.
And my school was in the town so there was plently to do instead of work.

Lawl. I can't speak for anybody else here, but the schools in Vegas look exactly like the "correctional facilities" where they house juvenile prisoners.

Our school pretty much welcomes it. We have office helpers (juniors and seniors) who watch the front door, so as long as you're popular, you can leave pretty much leave whenever you want. Plus, our school is on the bus line. One comes once an hour, and the other comes every 15 minutes. So if you have a car or not, you're free to just walk out.

My school last year had no windows in any classrooms so student's wouldn't look outside and daydream. Really felt like prison as the rooms were a pale white/tan color too, and you could clearly see the brick foundation.

The college I go to will give you three absences and will withdraw you from the class if you're absent again. We cram a lot of work in per class, though, so I don't mind. I'm surprised that it's so lenient for the majority of the people here. I suppose education gets varying degrees of importance in different places in the US.
