First of all, everyone knows im a MALE and if you dont know that then you dont know sh!t (ghetto swear avoid). Also I've experienced this problem before and I don't know how and why the cache from any previous SM comes back when it has the same folder name. Either way, don't be judgmental and don't stereotype. |

This is what I get every time I take a SS in SM.

Re: Ok, pretty scary problem here.
Mine makes the noise, but the folder doesn't even appear, so I get no screen shot whatsoever. Looks like we'll just have to paste the SS in paint and cut it out. >___>

Re: Ok, pretty scary problem here.
*sigh* yet another simple problem that can be solved from a single click.
In your window where there are small icons listed such as: Organize, Views, Slideshow, etc. you'll notice at the end Compatibility Files. Click it and you'll find various folders that are most likely missing from your Stepmania folder including your Screenshots and Songs folders. Drag & drop/cut & paste them back into the original location in the Stepmania folder and your problem is solved. Don't even bother uninstalling and reinstalling because that's a complete waste of time and effort. The folders exist but for whatever reason Vista moves them into the Compatibility Files section. lol vista troubles

Re: Ok, pretty scary problem here.
yeah, SM seems to be gay with Vista. Like you may have a SS folder but the SS's wont go to it, you have to customly save them. AnD for the my creations, unlike XP where it goes right to its own folder, there is no folder for my creations and in order to get them out, you have to export them then extract them and get the file out that way.

Re: Ok, pretty scary problem here.
I must have super Vista (aka Home Premium) or something because I experience exactly 0 of these problems everyone else has so uh i only gave basic solutions to the problems. I should've just said format your hard drive or something.
I was just tryna help a brotha out man since ive been troubleshooting my own sm problems since 3.9 was in alpha stages

Re: Ok, pretty scary problem here.
Sorry for bump, but Gundam-Dude COMPLETELY solved both my and Hentai's problem.
I couldn't see my "My Creations" folder. I have Vista Ultimate 32-bit. I did exactly what Gundam-Dude said and it worked perfectly ^_^ |

Well, since problems are fixed so far i could add another one for fun. When i play SM i usually have like 900fps+-, but when i go fullscreen it goes down to like 10 fps. ..and when i'm windowed it's having random frameskips but otherwise it's smooth. Any idea? Edit: nevermind Vsync + vista = megafail. Last edited by Hakulyte; 03-13-2009 at 02:56 PM.. |
