Pretty new to pump, good? Also post pump scores ITT
I was so happy passing this, really getting my endurance back up and still struggling with some of the pump turns and whatnot. I know we have a few sick pump players here so... advice?

I've played Pump twice. Once was on a cruise ship lol (rough waters make balance delightful). It was so much fun, but there aren't any machines within a reasonable driving range from either school or my house.

I play pump 2-3 times per week.
For being new, passing 12's is darn good (with an A for that matter) once you get comfortable with 16's, start doing doubles. you'll thank yourself later. Once you master crossovers, you'll be able to fully enjoy the game. Here's what I suggest for getting legit: U Inside my Dim Memory CZ Enter the Dragon CZ What's Going On NM Emergency CZ/NM (nm is really tricky on this chart though, might wanna keep it for later) If you feel adventurous and want to see stupid crossover charts: We goin' fly CZ Fly CZ Final Audition ep 2-1 CZ Love is a Danger Zone CZ

Thanks kommi I'll look into it. My biggest problem atm is streams and endurance. And yeah I think I have now played pump roughly 15 times.

stamina obviously comes with time, but if you can get foot placement and crossovers down, files will be much less demanding instead of double stepping everything and tiring yourself out.

My mate got me into PIU and I've played it around 6 or so times, all day though. Like 6-7 hours each.
Going to go to a machine hopefully in the next month or so, but its a definite train ride away. The arcade has a PIU PRO in it. I'm not brilliant. I find cross overs the hardest, but once I get them, I know I'll find the game a lot easier. I find crossovers easy to figure in DDR/ITG so I'm sure I'll get them eventually. It just clicked. It's also a lot harder to hold the bar on a PIU machine, as the arrows seem further apart (well, they are) Almost managed to Quad Moon Stone however That is a fun one to play |

Nice to see someone playing Pump. Here are a few songs I would recommend
Fly CZ (has four long and very twisty runs in the middle) Enter the Dragon CZ (starts off relatively easy but throws in difficult twists in the second half that challenge you) Final Audition 3 U.F. CZ (difficult twists, especially in the runs toward the middle, which conclude in a burst of 32nds) Phantom CZ (hands down the best song to learn horizontal crossovers [Q-S-E/Z-S-C], although it becomes incredibly difficult in the second half) Once you can master twists in songs like these you should become fairly adept at reading the twists in Pump. If you want the ultimate test check out Love is a Danger Zone CZ and see if you are able to read the death run at the end. To develop your speed play fast songs with long but largely turnless streams (I'll Give You All My Love CZ, Moonlight CZ, Winter CZ). Lastly, an important skill to master is hitting jumps using the center step with one foot (bracketing). Position your foot at an angle it hits both steps. This saves energy and is vital for certain charts like Slam/Final Audition CZ. |

Pretty damn good, pump Pro 12 files are ahhh annoying
but generally I play Fiesta EX so rating scales are different You should try to learn bracketing as that is an important skill in higher levels of pump (trust me, bracketing is useful) and also try to minimize movement for turns and such to save stamina on harder songs
