I don't think the movie was entirely about the having an effect on events the past, so much as it was a portrayal of human behaviour and emotion in the event of a crisis situation. It portrayed a very pessimistic view of human nature, yes, but it had a pretty decent resolve towards the end. Changing history? No. Using history to get a point across? Yes.






Also, blue penis was indeed a bit much. If there wasn't something in the movie that was obscenely unneeded, it was that.

But yes, I never said they were trying to change history and I understand that the point was showing human nature, that's basically what the issue was 1/2 the time lol xD But besides that resolve could be acceptable. No one resolution is right in mankind or higher-kind alike, only the Universe itself could predict these events, as Dr. Manhattan accepts he is not God.

p.s.: hilarious scene. manhattan goes back from 4-1 of himself while fighting with silk spectre before she leaves him, all figures which have that shiny blue penis. a wee bit OD.
