The Formula, Gruntilda, and Careless Prince were fun.
No comment on Thunder Light. P.S. The frames in Thunder Light's trill are sooooo gross. Last edited by tosh; 08-2-2014 at 12:37 AM.. |

Watched the replay for Thunder Light. Thats a 74? Lmao looks alot harder than Blooddrunk to me. Not to mention that ending that looked GROSS... maybe its easier to play than it seems, though. idk.

OWA mentioned that it was harder than Blooddrunk too, but I docked a few points off being that -every- trill is on the same hand, which allows for modification to their dominant hand without consequences (compared to Blooddrunk, which has an even split between LH/RH trills).

Yup, that's the reason I thought 74 was appropriate, since players have the option of mirroring the file if their left hand isn't strong at consistent trilling (like mine, the file plays like a mid FGO for me non-mirrored lol). In Blooddrunk, you don't have that option.

Re: Songs of the Week (August 1st, 2014)
True. I see your point. But, you also have to figure consistency on literally a minute of long trills. Blooddrunks are on both hands but semi short. Hm
EDIT: Wow, i just played it. Holy fuck. its so relentless..... i can left hand trill like a son of a bitch but this song.. the frames. omf. ugh. 11 clean fo life yo XD Ps. still stand by my "this is harder than blooddrunk" and should at LEAST be a 76. the jumps thrown into the trills make it that much harder haha

hi19 holy shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit you are literally my favouritest person ever right now. Not since The Lunatic Princess on mirror has my left hand sung like a Paul McCartney blackbird while playing Thunder Light. I would blow a Thunder Heavy load on your face in an instant.

Meh, felt easier then Blooddrunk. Thanks for the file though, I needed something to practice OH trilling.

- The Formula: That doublejack kills my combo, everything else in the song is pretty easy.
- Gruntilda's Final Battle: First time me seeing that kind of minijack patterning. Requires some practicing to FC. - Careless blabla: Pretty solid steps. Might be able to AAA. - Thunder Light: Longest one-hand trill in FFR? Nice. Nothing superb files imo. Probably going to grind Careless till apocalypse

Re: Songs of the Week (August 1st, 2014)
Serious question: is this release going to get a front page post?
I can go back to writing them if nobody else is...

Re: Songs of the Week (August 1st, 2014)
IT NEEDS TO BE COMPRESSED AAAAAAAAAAAAAA
i've never worked with compressing MOV files and I don't think putting a 100 MB file on the front page is a good idea -______- I have a write-up for the page (nearly complete) but it's nothing really extravagant; it just features the list of the songs and their difficulties like the previous posts and has some slight updates about the progress of the 10th official, but nothing else |
