The difficulty you play on seems to determine what difficulty the extra stage is at. - The difficulty rating scale has been expanded to 20. Old songs have adjusted ratings. - Series categories have returned. - The cabinet has added up and down buttons. Hopefully better pictures will surface soon. - Many older songs have generic videos at the test. - Shock arrows have been added to some songs (Flight of the phoenix is one). Stepping on one causes combo break and life decrease. copy pasta'd from bemanistyle. The new 20-difficulty rating threw me off a lot >_> Also I'm wondering why Can't Stop Fallin In Love (Speed Mix) is rated a 14. Is it really that hard? |

Re: New DDRX info
Can't Stop Falling = 14
The Legend of Max = 15 rofl Konami doesn't understand how ratings work beyond 10 Also, liberal crossovers in every oni chart, anybody? Awkward footing? Random jumps? FFR'ers make better charts

Re: New DDRX info
20 difficulty ratings seems a little excessive to me. They should've just stopped at 15. I still haven't even played supernova 2 yet and have only played supernova a handful of times.
Edit: I laughed at LoM being a 15 too. It's way harder than Max300. IMO it's a 16.

Re: New DDRX info
In reality, the scale of 1-20 is just a 1-10 scale with half decimal variants.
1 1.5 2 2.5 etc. So in technicality, they now rate Can't Stop Fallin' Speedy a 7 and TLoM a 7.5. Hades is a 9. The new rating system makes no sense, and wasn't really thought out, apparently. I assume they wanted to surpass ITG's 15 (which through new charts already utilizing the system, makes sense, unlike trying to rework charts into a new scheme), and go into Andamiro territory where stuff like Dignity and Chimera breaks into the 20's. Hades isn't even all that hard, other than the fact there are crossovers for no reason, and footing that's more retarded than my mother. You can cheat all of that though, and still AA. Also, if I didn't reiterate enough, Konami absolutely sucks at making boss charts. There is absolutely no technicality to it, whatsoever. Just random steps that sort of makes a rhythm that goes with the song, but never anything accurate like in high-level pad packs.

Re: New DDRX info
at first i thought they were using the 1-10 scale so i saw 17s and 18s and thought they must be like vertex beta vrofl or something.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=51UhzLBBszk Rated an 18 The ending has ridiculous amounts of crossovers just 'cause Konami thinks it'd be funny. On an ITG scale, it's a 12. TLoM would be an 11, and Can't Stop Falling In Love (Speed Mix) would be a 9. Now notice how it's 18, 15 and 14 respectively. Konami is doing it wrong. Sure, it's just a numbering system, but the more accurate it is, the more of a point of it being there is. [edit] Just noticed that the adjusted difficulties list is the original rating +5. 20 would be a 15, and by ITG standards, that's a kb file on foot lolz (VB, Strangeprogram, etc.)
