New song to possibly submit

My friend Drew (Elaxion on FFR) said he'd be willing to make a stepfile for a new song I kind of threw together. The song is Hama no Uta, and it's on my myspace.

What do you think of it? It seems bland to me, do you have any progression tips on how to keep a listener wanting to listen to the whole song?

It's repetitive and the strings sound bad. That's all. =)
