Default What do you think is the best gaming generation?

I would definitely say the 6th Generation of consoles (PS2, Gamecube, Xbox, Dreamcast, PSP, DS, GBA) which lasted from 2000 to 2008

This was the era when budget, graphics, and creativity reached an equilibrium. You could make a amazing game with fresh mechanics and good graphics for a few million dollars. Games like Tokyo Extreme Racer, Star Wars Battlefront, Devil May Cry, God of War, Pacman World 2, Every FF game that generation, Persona 4, and a ton of other games are good examples of this

The amount of "underrated" or unknown games from this generation is probably the highest I've seen of any gaming generation. I've been playing games from this generation since when I could hold a controller and I'm still finding great games I've never heard of or rediscovering games I played a long time ago

Tokyo Extreme Racer
S.L.A.I (Steel Lancer Arena International)
State of Emergency
Manhunt
Etc.

Among other reasons but I don't want to make this too long. What is your favorite gaming generation?
