oh yeah I don't doubt that, but the biggest part of any child's personality is its everyday main influence, namely the parent. I always see these kids throwing hissy fits at the mall and I see their parents acting more or less the same way. It's kinda sad.

Also, many times in public, parents won't hit their kids. It's only in private that they're brave enough to use physical punishment. It creates a double standard that hurts the discipline's effectiveness. Why won't they use it in public? Fear of arrest and child protective services. It's difficult to reinforce something only part of the time. It needs to happen every time, without fail, and without regard for environment.

In regards to the rest of the thread, I am all for child discipline, but to an extent. If a parent is too lenient and does not try to discipline the child at all, the child will just take advantage and do whatever he/she wants without any concern for others. You can yell all you want at your child but they can just ignore you. If you take action, such as taking something away or spanking them, then that will instill a fear that would make them think twice about what they might do. Of course you wouldn't abuse them either.

I'm wondering if the parents just created fake accounts or asked friends to bid on the toys in order to further upset their children? Now it just looks like people are bidding as a joke.

Just stating that had the parents gotten them a battle arena when they got the toys (and yes they sell them i had one when i was a kid) this wouldn't have happened.

Ill never forget in the 5th grade I broke some kids beyblade cause mine was awesome and he went all ape shit and started crying. So the people at the daycare made me give him all my beyblades and write an apology letter. These are also the same people who made me eat pizza out of a trash can in the 2nd grade... And Im pretty sure thats illegal
