Version .692
Am I delusional, or was that .002 better than it was before?

Re: Version .692
Does this mean GGC will have those green arrows that you mentioned before?

Yup.
In other news, FFR now supports BPM changes in files. Hooray for Kit.

I don't wanna switch to third style. T-T I say put all third style songs into this version and tweak this one instead. >_>

Re: Version .692
Make sure that when you say BPM changes you tell everyone that the arrows don't actually speed up and slow down but it is more like CMOD. The compatibility comes from the conversion, not new capabilities in the current FFR.

Re: Version .692
Yea...it just means that file artists can now use BPM changes when submitting files. I'm pretty sure most people don't want to deal with scroll speed changes anyway.

Re: Version .692
I was thinking this would allow rondo to be fixed, but no, none of those old songs will be changed. I wish things would be changed so that the scroll speed could be changed, like in 3rd style, instead of this way of the song speed changing, but it still being C300, but this won't happen until 3rd style.
I remember seeing another thread recently where someone lost all their credits, and I noticed in the screenshot that it said version .692, so I went through some trouble to find out what was different, but I didn't find out what until I read this thread.

Anyway, this is awesome. Will songs with BPM changes have correct note skinning?

Re: Version .692
I am pretty excited to see some actual steps made for some new FFR songs that incorporate BPM changes.
Everyone go thank Kit and Shash. Cheers, Synthlight |

Re: Version .692
Thanks Kit and Shash. I don't quite understand tho. Does that mean like the songs will speed up and slow down (scroll rate) whenever the song does?

Re: Version .692
No. Every song has a BPM which dictates how far apart the arrows are spaced apart and in the case of no CMOD, how fast they scroll up the screen. As FFR has a CMOD, all that changes in an FFR file with bpm changes is how far apart the arrows are.

What it does mean is that when the song speed changes, we can actually deal with it, whereas before we couldn't.
