Re: Suggestion--FFR Practice Tutorials
Now that I think about this, why don't ppl just play songs for practice?? Tutorial could be cool though. Instead of just the help button, there would be a realtime, active tutorial.

Tutorials for newbies.
Practice for the better ones... What are rolls, chains, crossovers, and gallops?

Re: Suggestion--FFR Practice Tutorials
Wow, whoever simply thought of this idea is a genius. I support dis to zeh max-ors. Well, this wouldn't benefit players like me that already use Final Fantasy Last Battle Festival for practice already >< (no intention of gloating)

Re: Suggestion--FFR Practice Tutorials
This is a great idea! I thought FFR would need something like this but I just never said anything, and then you come along and make it look so damn good!
Edited: The practice songs would probably need to be made to make sure that it's not added to our scores. Maybe by making a special arrow set that gives you +0 on your score but can still be categorized by Perfects, Goods, Averages, Boos, and Misses? Last edited by .Holy; 05-28-2008 at 07:59 PM.. |

Re: Suggestion--FFR Practice Tutorials
11000% support.
I will continue to subscribe to FFR even if I stopped playing it, so saying something about subscribing really won't make much of an accent. =/ Sig'd. It would be nice if this was on FFR. FFR has its own system and appearance, which cannot be fully simulated by SM. I think this would boost many of the players' stats and capabilities. However, I do practice the various patterns on SM with my own SM files. As Sprite- said, this isn't very hard to do. If you wanted to simulate the entire FFR, play on J3, with a black background, and FFR noteskin. I'm all for putting such a feature on FFR, but until then, SM -> FFR simulation is probably the best way to practice the patterns. Also, someone should make a practice smpack, with adequate music for each pattern.

Re: Suggestion--FFR Practice Tutorials
Along with everyone else, I fully support this idea infinity%, I could learn crossovers index, and slow one handed trills. (I don't really play it)
and of course gain a lot of skill spread. But then you could just make some crazy roll file to whore daily points. ;p |

Re: Suggestion--FFR Practice Tutorials
Not necessarily. Some basic music synthesis can make a variety of songs in which the PR and rhythm would be suited for the variety of patterns.

Re: Suggestion--FFR Practice Tutorials
I'd love to be able to practice on certain sections of songs, having to play through the whole song just to practice on a particular section is tedious! 100% support.
