Oh yes, considering the only game that's supposed to revolutionize the gaming industry this fall is gaining bad press month by month. You know what Wii game I'm talking about Squeak.

No.
Monkey Ball? Cuz that's the only game I'm getting on release date. You know, the intellectual puzzle game that Grandia says doesn't exist. I have yet to hear bad news about a Wii game aside from Red Steel, which isn't getting bad news at all. Just news that what they originally had planned wasn't working out so they're re-tweaking the controls. |

Re: The PS3 Is Here.
Red Steel supposively sucks, according to EGM.
Then again, EGM sucks, but since Red Steel is a mindless violence game (seemingly what EGM specializes in) I'll take their word for it. And, uh, what game are you talking about Chromer?

Re: The PS3 Is Here.
Yes.
It can. It began on Gamecube. You know, the analogue joystick and all. Then it went to PS2 where it flopped. So now Sega has decided that only the control mechanism of the Wii is good enough for their sequel. What I don't understand is WHY YOU DON'T POST IN THE WII THREAD ABOUT THIS. |

LOL Squeak your huge Nintendo e-peen got hard when you found a way to defamate Sony. Whether or not Sony has given good consoles or crappy consoles, numbers don't lie and being the company with the number one console of the current generation speaks for itself.

I don't mind that he prefers Nintendo.
It's just that he hates other companies because they're not Nintendo and then makes up stuff to justify his opinion.

Re: The PS3 Is Here.
No. I am not a fanboy. I'm tired of Chromer, the Sony fanboy, calling me a fanboy.
When I was considering what console to get back in 2002 / 2003, I took a few things into consideration. Cost, games, etc. I could have gone either way, really. I didn't get a PS2 because all of my friends had one and borrowing it wasn't hard to do. I initially wanted an Xbox. It seemed like the best choice of the three even though it had the highest cost. Had the best graphical capabilities, had the best reviews on its games, etc. But ultimately I went with a Gamecube. I still don't remember why. I can guarantee I didn't initially want one. Then I actually played some games and loved it. It was so late into the game that when I got one it was already down fifty dollars from its release price and coming with a game bundled. For a while I wondered if I made the right decision. Two years later, the only thing to show up on Xbox was Fable. I chipped in when my friend got it for his Xbox and beat it in a day. So my decision to not get an Xbox was justified. I still regret not getting a PS2, but even now when I can get one for thirty dollars and get all the games for maybe ten each, I still don't want to get one. I know it'll fail. They all do, no matter how new they are. Playstation 2 has the best selection of games on it of all the consoles in that era. I will admit that right now. But not being able to play them would be harsh. I do not regret my Gamecube purchase at all. I'm quite satisfied with it and I still replay some of the first games I bought to this day. It's awesome to know that I can play them on my Wii if I want to. So they don't go to waste. None of my forty Gamecube games will go to waste. Of those forty, I only regret buying three. Worthless piles of crap. So, in comes 2005 and the new consoles are showing up. What do I do? Same thing. Microsoft starts strong, but they still have yet to release a game that looks even remotely interesting to me. Sony promises a powerhouse of a console but, again, has no games for it that look promising (Sorry, not having owned a Playstation 1 or 2, I haven't played Metal Gear or Devil May Cry). And in comes Nintendo promising a fun console at an affordable price with loads of great games. Fanboy? No. More like "logical decision-maker". |

Re: The PS3 Is Here.
Sorry, I was under the impression that anyone who still wanted a Playstation 3 after all the bad press it has gotten must be a fanboy.
Forgive me if I'm wrong. |

All technically speaking if you choose to buy any ONE system or choose one above another, you are indeed a fanboy. Do not reject it, you are now deemed a number such as being a consumer, congratulations. And of course, I am a fanboy of the Playstation, rather be it that I am moreso a fan of RPGs in general, and the whole anime-fantasy aspect of it, and since Playstation incorporates this...PLAYSATION ROXXORS UR BOXXORS!!!!1111shift+1shift+1oneoneone! |

Re: The PS3 Is Here.
You don't have to be a fanboy to buy one system over another. You can like a system without being a fanboy, as long as it's a decent system.
The point Squeek is trying to make is that time and time again, Sony is proving that the PS3 will NOT be a very good console. Therefore, to choose it over 360 or Wii means that you PROBABLY ARE a fanboy.
