Ok at least we've established that you've never written a paper. So that's one mystery down and a bunch more to go I guess. But by God we'll get there someday.

Don't throw around the word "proof" so arbitrarily. I'd like to know precisely where you got the figure 60%. Unless you have a complicated algorithm worked out to convert user count and all other dozen variables into an actual numerical value (and I'm not giving you that much credit), then no, that is just hand-wavey, nonsensical thing you made up in your head.

(Of course, note the aforementioned point that none of this matters anyways).

Why am I arguing with you? There are so many more pleasant things I could be doing... like amputating a leg with a rusty saw, to cite one of many examples.

you obviously take statistics way too seriously because i can guarantee you absolutely nobody cares. fact is, ffr has a buncha dudes who play sm and that if i were to actually compare (and combine) users from other sites, ffr would still have an immense amount more.

truth is im trollin u cuz its easy and you easily get upset over internet matters and its mild entertainment. u even got dimentio trollin u. ive only ever played one of your files and deemed it horrible to my standards and honestly i speak for basically everyone on this site when i say that. like i said, this isnt your crowd. im sure there are other small communities that like your work

Honestly, I don't care about what you care about. In fact, I'm not sure why you seem to think you speak for everyone. Certainly, you speak for the group of people I deem "Kommisar Lackies." And I guess that's pretty nice, having a person with an immense ego to compensate for his lack of other things having other people drawn like moths to a flame to his immense ego.

Trust me, if I were to rate one of your files (and I played one or two), I'd have quite a few comments to make about how it doesn't meet my personal standards. I'm not saying this out of spite, or for the sake of argument - they're files with notes that make *sense,* but you literally write your files like a machine - they're uninspiring and there are many spots with missed opportunities to make the file more than just a computerized transcription of the music. Given a bit of time, a talented computer programmer could write a program that would write your files for you.

Proceed to laugh. Hahaha, this guy sucks and doesn't know what he's talking about. I've said my piece and I'm 100% positive you (and your posse) won't take it a bit seriously, since as noted, I am bringing a radical idea into a group of ultra-conservatives. I'm not expecting you to anyways. In fact, if you read all my previous posts, you'll realize that I have never gotten angry at you - I've just been acting in a patronizing way. Why? Because I don't respect your opinion. You obviously think I do, since you keep on posting, but please, I assure you, I couldn't care less. You're probably not used to hearing that, but there you go =).

So please, go on in blissful ignorance with your set of arbitrary standards and this crowd of people who believe so strongly in it. I applaud you for your self-confidence, but I really don't care past that.

"And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch."

*EDIT*: And I made the point that many people who play SM are not even registered for... oh screw it, this is seriously like speaking to a solid brick wall.

i have no posse. i doubt everyone agrees with my opinion, but you dont seem to realize im simply mocking your immense paragraphs trying to explain yourself for a matter that really is pretty funny. people who play sm and arent registered for any communities aren't very large in numbers. even so, it's impossible to have an exact number.

i could have just left it at "ya filez suck peace" but half this thread is you defending your style and creating useless drama. sweet.

Also you just called Kommisar out on his ego? Think again. He's one of the nicest and most talented people on this board and he doesn't throw **** around just because he can. I could speak for a lot of people (NTM, Scylaax, Gundam, Mr. Bob) when I say he's willing to help the community out without being an ass about it, which is more than I can say for you. I realize that what people like in files is different and I'm not saying that A is better than B, but reading this thread it's obvious that you're developing a bit of a double standard.

finally

QED i'm just going to say that every time you make a file and post it on the internet, you contribute to the decline of keyboard stepmania in general.

the problem is that every time you make a file, there are some people who go 'oh wow your file is so good please make more!!!!!!!!!' and through no fault of their own, have been exposed to a fundamentally flawed style of stepping that wasn't even good back in 2002.

now this would be okay, if only you didn't contribute to the opinion that your files are good in comparison to the actually good files that exist by well-established simfile authors, bringing their work down to your level by every time you submit garbage like this. This and the fact that you do not take criticism well (read: at all, you haven't listened to any criticism...ever) and your files NEVER improve in any way or form. Even your pad files are completely terrible.

your ego gets stroked for all of the wrong reasons and honestly, you deserve no credit for being a simfile author in general. You won't stop making files and while we can't stop you, it does piss a lot of us off that you can actually make other players think established simfile author's files are bad in comparison to your own.

Here's to the further decline of keyboard stepmania in general! May a hero be unveiled and vanquish the evil fiend for daring to have an actual opinion that doesn't fit cozily with the status quo.

Change is scary. *shivers*

that would be so awesome! anytime i wanted a new kommi file i could just open a program and have it generate one!

QED try and step to the music it might be good Accordingly with FFR it would be a step in the right direction. Don't blow me off for mentioning this again, it's good to try out new things.

v1.1 -- added pad files. Take Kommi's KB/pad files everywhere you go!

QED--I'm going to be honest with you. Your chart style is simply old fashioned (as mentioned by Lain, fundamentally flawed even in '02), and your charts really do not make that much sense. Hell--I'm not even a big KB stepartist now and honestly (no offense to you because for some strange reason you defend your files with your life), I think I could make a KB chart that people would approve of more than you. (p.s. don't get me started with pad, you will not win).

It's not because the community is biased against you, but more so because the community has evolved into its own stepping style. There's simply nothing you can do about it, because like Kommisar mentioned, FFR sports more than 80% of the main stepmania related communities. You want a citation? Look for it yourself. Stepmania has it's own group of established players and a very large chunk of them hang around in FFR's very own SM scores thread. If that's not enough of a citation for you, then you are just choosing to be stubborn because you can't properly defend yourself (as if you were able to in the first place).

Attention, Citizens. Robo-Kommisar has computed a new file for you to play. Robo-Kommisar's files are always perfect.

edit: roving bands known as the Kommisar Lackies seek out those who attempt to restep one of Robo-Kommisar's glorious files and punish them

Whoa whoa whoa - I never said the community was biased against me - as you said, the community has "evolved" *cough* *snicker* into its own stepping style and they're sticking to it. The huge misunderstanding people here have is that I actually care about "approval" of "established simfile artists." Please don't peg me as an insecure person who goes around desperate for the approval of others, especially a self-proclaimed "elite" group who is too stubborn to even consider the possibility that there is no one correct way to step. Please don't try to trivialize my style as some old-fashioned derivative of ages past either - I'm certain that I put more thought into making my stepfiles than most of this "elite" group.

So no, I'm not defending myself at all. You're quite mistaken. Defense implies that I feel a need to actually convince you that my opinion is correct, when I really gain no utility from doing so. I'm more trying to explain to you why you're wrong, and it's no big deal to me if you don't take the lesson for what its worth (it's a subtle difference, but it's an important one). Furthermore, I just find it hilarious that everyone here enjoys asserting themselves on this thread when all I'm doing is posting files that really have nothing to do with anybody else. I obviously think I'm right and everyone else thinks they're right. Forgive me if I refuse to conform to mob rule, but it's pretty hilarious seeing everyone else attacking me for daring to have (and believe in) an opinion.

So ultimately, I'm through with my phase of "trying to get along with everybody." I realized that being nice just attracts more stupidity, since people on the internet interpret politeness in a person who actually has an opinion (a different opinion) as weakness and just target that person more. Of course, not being nice and actually telling it like it is will be interpreted as arrogant and attract the same type of response, but at least I get a hell of a lot more entertainment this way.

If you want to continue to entertain me, please do your worst. I still suggest that you just leave this thread alone since there's really no point in you saying anything here, but either way, go for it with all you've got. I'll be waiting.
