Re: FFR's Top One Handers
To answer you
Van Try sliding more slide your middle finger from up to down and just make it a motion alot less of a hassel as for middle trills slide only your middle finger works really well For middle doubles just use your middle finger on both keys. Also.. I know i've switch to Spread and all but this score was actually one hand. If you will take it cool! If not I understand why.. Lol |

Re: FFR's Top One Handers
Haha yes, I am kind of underground.. I don't post on the forums often.
Also 8 Hour, Nice ETAD AAA.. You know, I think having some practice with a faster playing style (spread) does help with reading patterns. At least it helped me when I was forced to play spread for a while after my keyboard broke =/ haha. Also, you really only use your middle finger for up and down? Sounds difficult, but I'm sure with practice it could work.. Haha my only other option would be to try to train my ring finger to hit down when my other two fingers are preoccupied - and so far old dog = no new tricks.

Re: FFR's Top One Handers
do you guys slide with just middle, because with some jumps i tend to slide my index on the left+down and my ring on right+down...

Re: FFR's Top One Handers
Slide is a technique used with all fingers..
You mostly only slide your middle finger for up and down but when it comes to things like rolls from right to left You have a swift slide with your fingers flowing with your ring to your middle and to your index. IT's a simple technique more common for laptop or a Flat KB. Usually it's best to find something like.. lotion or baby oil that makes your hand not sticky so you can perform this task over and over again. |

Re: FFR's Top One Handers
Nice job, bud. If you can FC that, try something like {Frozen}.
Also, Bynary should add more songs to the list like {Frozen} and Cutting Circles and R176. >=( Haha I'm getting all sorts of silly new old FCs that I should be accommodated for =). Edit: Flaming Skies unlock. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f.../Firestorm.jpg Hahaa if you guys meant under 20 good/boos combined, I have about 19.8 =) Burning Sun unlock. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f..._s/Eclipse.jpg This one is simple provided you don't try at all, and take the misses (Mrs.) like a whore rather than try too hard and get boos =) Dodgeball unlock. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...s/BlueRose.jpg Sailing Through The Stratosphere unlock. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...deTheSkies.jpg How is this a 7? I've seen 5 feet songs harder to AAA. Party In The House unlock. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...rg_s/AM-3P.jpg Haha I had a lot of lag in this one.. But I got it so whatever. Lie Low unlock. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...koreAtomic.jpg This one was harder than I expected.. Just getting the 6 combo. AAA v5 unlock. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...ExciteBike.jpg I went the easy way out. Rick Astley unlock. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...s/ReRicked.jpg Ugh fortunately the lag only killed my PA. T.H.E.G.A.M.E.T.O.K.E.N unlock. http://i241.photobucket.com/albums/f...urg_s/HTIJ.jpg

Re: FFR's Top One Handers
i was playing frozen earlier...i was near the end when one of the last jumpstreams got me, and it was really hard to get back into the rhythm of jumpstreams once you were out of it so i got like 17 misses =.=
edit: OMGOSH GRRRRRRRRRR the miss was on an easy quarter note too....

When I have a huge hunk of spare time (ex. Summer) I'll probably come back and play.
So hows everyone?

-****ty ass keyboard with 4 keys broken, 3 of which I always used for playing (the letter keys suck) -Zero competition -Frustrating and bad habits that hold me back yet I can't break them -2x is too slow and 2.25 is too fast I still play enough to keep up my skill level though (I still like the game, don't worry :P). I want to try and fix some of these things, but it doesn't seem to be going well. Outside of the game, I'm doing good, thankfully. ~Bynary Fission

Re: FFR's Top One Handers
Reasons I have also not been playing as frequently:
I unfortunately feel that if I played more I could still be improving greatly as I was, but I'm not playing every day anymore. I blame this ****ty a** economy. Trying to keep my job and make extra money on the side. Also a minor addiction to Kongregate, which I can play without driving my wife crazy. I need to get this off my chest. If I don't admit it, it will not change. I suspect part of the reason I haven't been playing as much is because I may have been pi**ed my stepfile didn't get played by Tass this last time. Blu gave it a pretty decent review (and had constructive comments). jx simply trashed it for sync again, which I think was bs. Maybe he played the old file. Oh well - there are new reviewers by now so someone completely different can trash it for being half a millisecond off-sync even though once it gets in the game every note will be 10 milliseconds off-sync anyways. I haven't yet had the gumption to make changes to it. jx and blu are both talented stepfile artists and I respect both of their opinions. It's nothing personal. I realize I am just griping. Once I get over it, I can make some improvements, resubmit, and be on my merry way. Maybe I'll take a look at it again today.

Hell I'm tryin' to fix this one for you If I keep growing, we'll see what happens in MP. Quote:
I'd say, StepMania and playing on 2.25 all the time would be the best remedy for this, because once a scroll speed is too slow, there's not much you can do to solve that.. Although trying to fix this might be much easier when you get a better keyboard. I'm glad you're alright out of the game =). I'll try to grab more tier points and tokens to keep this thread alive.

No, as in 1) I hit all up-down jumps with 2 fingers despite me using only my middle finger for everything else - this is holding me back in such a huge way I can't explain it. Unfortunately, I've been doing this since I played my first game of FFR - that habit is so deeply ingrained by now that I've been unable to break it despite months of trying to do so. :/ 2) Severe tensing of my arm - it gets so physically painful I can't even finish most FGOs without quitting out. Unfortunately, if I don't tense up, my fingers barely even slide on the keys, let alone press them. Quote:
