Re: FFR Suggestions
Veterans get 25, regular members get 5.
Has been suggested, can't be done.

Re: FFR Suggestions
My gut reaction is "that's kinda dumb"
Maybe there's some justification in preventing assholes/bots from mass PMing people with new accounts, but assholes/bots usually have too much time/ways to work around that anyway...

Re: FFR Suggestions
Perhaps a 20 limit for nonvets and like, 50 for vets?

Re: FFR Suggestions
I like this idea. Maybe there can be some sort of requirement before a nonvet has 20 people to PM as a limit. This is for the botters/spammers. Any suggestions?

Re: FFR Suggestions
I agree with a post count minimum. Considering if you are new to the forums, you really have no business PM'ing 20 people anyway I'd guess.

Re: FFR Suggestions
I still agree with hi19 though, why can't everyone just have the same privileges as far as pm'ing goes?

Re: FFR Suggestions
There really needs to be serious reconsideration for all of the veteran's privileges and determine which ones are fundamental and basic. Those that do fall into that category should immediately be released for all regular users. Truly non-essential features should be reserved for veteran users.
In this case, I think that the regular users should have all the same features and limitations as veterans in regards to private messaging. |

Re: FFR Suggestions
Well I made a thread about Vet perks a while back, I can go bump it if you want and I can turn it into a "This is what we have", "this is what we think should change to be non vet", "this is good as vet", and "perhaps vets could get this" thread?
Found the thread, give me a yes and it's as good as done.

Re: FFR Suggestions
There should be a way to see which users you have under your referrals. I'd like to be able to keep track of all my alts and anyone else who used me over the years.

Re: FFR Suggestions
If only the flash file would go the result screen AFTER the song ends (or a certain point you command it to end), as opposed to the last arrow of the file...
I wish this was fixed, but I wouldn't know what it'd take to do that. |

Re: FFR Suggestions
Placeholder notes would be a thing of the past if that could get changed...
Don't get my hopes up xD

Re: FFR Suggestions
I've been hating the number of files that end with single notes like that in the past few batches. It's crazy.

Re: FFR Suggestions
I think it would mean kinda ripping apart the engine coding to do that. You would have to rewrite a huge chunk of code that measures the last note in the song (if noteshit = notesmax -> end song) to make it be something more like timerseconds = timersecondsmax etc.
I don't even know how intricate FFR's code is, but it would at least take making those variables, and tracking them throughout the song. But either way if it's as simple as I just stated that would solve like 60% of songs that end like that. Quote:
Maybe if vB supports it, there could be a captcha for non-Veteran users if they are sending to over X amount players. Last edited by Emithith; 11-16-2011 at 01:20 AM.. |

Re: FFR Suggestions
That it is. Shoot, I'll cross post it here then.
I saw bmah's post in the suggestion thread and figured I would give this another try. Here is what he posted, and what I really agree with. Quote:
Early song release, beta level reader, credit transaction history, view others' levelranks, the veteran forum, top average players list, blue name, 25 max for PM's, token levelranks (was this changed?). Early Song Releases note: While we like the idea, we agree on this point that bmah made: Quote:
PM limit. Quote:

??? Is there anything we can add in to make becoming a vet something that makes it worth it? What could we do to get it back to where people actually wanted to get Vet status? Current Suggestions: Higher limit for saving replays. I thought this was the plan originally, but I think it got shelved for the time being. New Vet tokens? I'm sure people have plenty of ideas for requirements. My bad.

Re: FFR Suggestions
Not sure if this is doable but maybe have some sort of highlight for the column of which round we're on for the official in the tournament dashboard? It's not a really big deal or anything, but when it gets to the later rounds it's going to get quite cluttered and the highlight might help make it easier to see what you need to see.
