You even added a supplementary and encouraging comment... I'm sorry. It's weird... I saw you looking at the thread on the name display at the bottom... and I was wondering why you didn't comment on a thread like this. I presumed this was pretty much trivial information to most FFRans... afraid of the lock. When I didn't find a post from you, I thought this was an ok thread. Insufficient info. Insufficient info. looks like Destiny wasn't the only one. =) Zageron, tell me when you're done with whatever you want to do... I don't see a difference as of yet. And lastly, I think I'm going to make a separate numbers list... this is getting a bit too confusing to calculate correctly every time.

Re: FFR Player's Handstyles
Yeah Midday, the forum currently has a conflicting CSS problem between the forum header and the forum itself.
The header has the List style set to default as "none", and the forum uses "user choice" (or something like that). The header is overriding the forum list styles. So my version of the format doesn't work unless it's viewed as a single post.

Re: FFR Player's Handstyles
Index on the arrows.
And then I also use spread on zx./ Left middle on z, left index on x, right index on ., and right middle on /. Right now I'm playing about 50/50 spread and index, a little more index though. Last edited by Crizo92; 07-29-2008 at 11:12 PM.. |

[ \ are two keys apart. ] \ is one key apart.

Re: FFR Player's Handstyles
I want to see how you classify my finger style.
Index (Indices only)/3 finger (Either L-index/L-middle/R-index or L-index/R-middle/R-index)/4 finger (indices and middles): YGHJ Index Middle Spread: VB↑ → Edit: My brother indexes YGHJ.

I can put you under all 4 styles if you want. If you use them all in one song (switch mid-song), I can make a new section for adaptive playing. I remember you doing that for AIM Anthem, but if you do it generically for all songs that require adapting, then I'll make the new section.

Re: FFR Player's Handstyles
4-finger allows me to hit one handed trills two-handed or make awkward jumps less awkward. It's how I AAA'ed Aztec Templing.
Edit: I only switch during songs like AIM though... Edit: I adapt if I have to. If you want to go ahead. But, most of the time, I don't switch.

Re: FFR Player's Handstyles
I'll just put you under all 4.
Damn, I really need a separate number list now... =_= EDIT: That's a sick way of playing. I can't even master spread, and you've like gotten 4 different playstyles down. EDIT2: How does your middle finger take care of the down/up in your 3 finger play? Shouldn't index take care of down/up?

Re: FFR Player's Handstyles
It's a Jack of all Trades thing. I can do all of them, but I never master one of them.
Technically, yeah up/down are taken care of by the indices. But, I do use either middle finger on AIM for the up/down jacks. I think the song I play the most traditional 3-finger is P4U v2...

Re: FFR Player's Handstyles
i use the generic index middle spread (askl) or index on the arrow keys for the easier songs where i need my PA.

Re: FFR Player's Handstyles
Just making this clear.
This list only represents the playstyle you use most. If you are either ditching a certain playstyle or haven't fully acquired the adequate skills of the playstyle, don't mention it. I won't incorporate "I used to..." or "I will learn..."
