Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Doesn't matter. Queued files take a long time to get into game, so you can send it next batch even if his is queued, and if yours is better it will replace it.

I originally had stuff like 170 bpm 32nd jumpjacks, but I changed them to trills, since I know for a fact that would have been rejected for being too hard/bs. I really like my file though - overall it's easier than the other Eclipse, but some parts are harder. Not so hard though that they'd get rejected (or so I hope, since the other Eclipse managed to get in, even with it's obvious errors). @robertsona - I did send in two files. I feel confident I can get at least one accepted.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
yeah, you're probably right, I'm just happy with it, I shouldn't be overconfident, and I'm not really, that post was bs, you're right, but I put so much effort into pitch relevancy and hands and jacks are placed properly, mainly because I worked with redhead on it and he wrote the song

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Haha, you really want to try mine out? I'd be willing to try out the SM version, but I think that's a really bad idea to submit it to FFR, especially when you admit it out loud - Rebirth got flamed off his ass for submitting his SM files to FFR.
But yeah, if you wanna test mine, give me your email and I'll send you a copy. ~Bynary Fission

Some of my files, honestly, were crap. I still have a few of my early crap files in the database, but the worst were deleted. It doesn't matter what you think, it matters what everyone else thinks. Some of the things I learned over time is that I have a problem with repetitive note patterns and I tend to favor a certain side when stepping. If I hadn't gotten peer feedback I would never have known. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Yeah judging's gotten a lot harder.
You'll notice some great steppers like stargroup or whatever get files rejected. Trust me, it's a lot harder than it looks.

thanks, and be as hard on it as you can! The more I learn where I went wrong, the more I learn how to fix it!

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Hell, I'm not a great stepper by any means - it usually takes me at least 3 hours of reviewing AFTER finishing a file just to find all the PR/sync issues. Then, I have to go and make sure the patterns are good for the music, etc.
Believe me, I expect rejections. But I also believe I should feel at least somewhat confident in my work, or otherwise it'll look like I'm sending in crap files all the time that have no real effort put into them. ~Bynary Fission
