What on earth are you talking about, guru.
If you're a beginner, but you have good files, they files will get accepted. Blu and jx don't sit there and go "oh, I don't know this person, let's give them a --." |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
yeah that's not a lot lol
I'm not going to pass judgment since I've never seen one of your files... just realize that 10 files is not a lot. For reference, Tetris Remix, my first file on FFR, was around my tenth file. You see how good that was.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Gonna send in my finished chart for Midnight Shooter by S.S.H. tonight (hopefully the veteran's don't think I ruined it D: ). I cut it down to about 4:30 (from the 6:00 that it actually is), but I think I'll take a final look at it before I finalize and send it.
@ Guru: Seriously, if you can't get a file in, you aren't trying hard enough. I sent in two files that weren't great, listened to the judges, and then decided that I was going to spend a HELL of a lot more time on my newer one. It paid off big time. If you plan on getting a file in, don't rush it, and don't get upset if it doesn't get in. Take the judge's advice to heart, and you could get something in easily. Blu, JX, and Tass take the sims really seriously. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I remember I used to be in you're position. Probably why Im not stepping as much as I used to.
Just to give you an example of progression. I have submitted my drop file to FFR for about 7-9 months now and all have been rejected. Only recently, the last 2 months have the judges decently like what I have done with the file and gave me suggestions a decent amount of suggestions for me to improve my files. By the way, Jim would only accept the file if it was near perfect. So if Jim said it was decent now, Im guessing Im doing something right. Also this might help. Im only working on 1 file at a time for FFR. Although it might be stupid but I have found world of warcraft again and Im in collage now which kind of explains the lack of working files. Thats called progression my friend. Oh and by the way, Ive been stepping for about 3 years now... It sux that the judges take a month just to comment on you're file, but under the circumstances, you just got to deal with it and hope you're file is good enough. Thats the whole process of the FFR process. PS: Give the judges some credit. They are doing a good job at this. Can't go to hard on them. Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Don't forget to create steps of your own style as well, if you look at other successful simfiles for reference.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
I'm excited that this batch had such a short submission period - it means fewer files got submitted than the last batch, and we'll get our batch notes quicker. I can't wait to see whether my files got accepted or not - I put quite a bit of work into them.
