Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?
Spoilers for those who haven't read Breaking Dawn.
DO NOT QUOTE ANYTHING. Okay, so. Everything that could go wrong, did go wrong. I am a strong Bella x Jacob shipper. Stephanie Meyer took my heart out stomped on it, hacked it up, blended it, and did whatever else she could to destroy me. I told myself before the book came out. I will deal with Bella and Edward getting married, so long as she ended up divorcing him. I want her to stay human, even if she DOES get married to Edward. Perfect ending would have been her and Jacob together - sure it was a long shot, but I had some hope. WHAT DOES STEPHENIE MEYER DO? 1.) Bella and Edward get married 2.) They have sex 3.) Bella GETS PREGNANT of all things that are horrible in the world. WHY. 4.) Bella becomes a vampire because she is dying. 5.) Oh wait, this is far worse... JACOB IMPRINTS ON HER DAUGHTER. 6.) Bella and Edward live happily ever after. What the hell. I was upset about the wedding. But the child and imprinting on said child just made me bawl. And I was hoping for some great battle at the end where Bella, Jacob or Edward died. But no, the Volturi just walk away. UGH. Horrible horrible horrible. I'm pretty livid. I will not be held responsible for someone quoting me and ruining the book.

Twilight is love. :]
But I'm not really finished with Breaking Dawn. Just on the second chapter of the second book in Breaking Dawn. ;p

I'm not finished with it either but there are a few things I would have done differently. I'm on chapter 34.

Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?
I enjoyed Stephanie Meyer's writing style, but the actual content of the book was really lacking.
The characters were all mediocre. Bella is incredibly weak as a character, and seems to serve as little more than a way for the 14 year old girl reading it to try and insert herself into the story. Edward is very clearly designed almost only to be fangirled over. He's written well as a character for people to fangirl over, but that sure as **** doesnt make him something even remotely resembling a well developed character. As for the plot, there barely is any. Meyer's writing was enjoyable though, and made me want to keep reading, even despite her habit of describing every single mundane thing that ever happens. BELLA'S GETTING A BOWL OF CEREAL NOW. RIVETING. So, I would like to see Meyer write something that isn't a trashy vampire romance. |

Re: Anyone Else a Twilighter?
I've heard much about the Twilight series. Is it worth reading even though Tokzic says it sucks?
