Especially considering Jon Voight gave a press conference at the end of Transformers that said there are giant transforming robits living with us.

Yes, this movie was excellent. I have no prior Transformers knowledge myself and I was highly into the movie the whole time. The special effects were out of this world. I haven't seen a movie that intense in a really long time, but that may be due to the fact that I never go to the movies. ;D Anyways, 10/10 from me. I highly recommend this movie for people of all ages, aside from some foul language throughout.

the jokes definately annoyed me the whole time...there were some which were completely hilarious like when the mum was high. akward moments like that crack me up. but then it came to the dog humping and the testicles and those two crackhead robots always fighting...

ignoring all those lame jokes and fill ins this movie was very enjoyable, its definately worth seeing in the cinemas, i probs wont see it again till DVD though.

I was REALLY holding out for a "Constructicons! TRANSFORM!" or something when forming Devastator. D'oh

Kagami: It was a fun moviegoing experience but it could have been a lot better. The CGI was top-notch, to be sure, but the story/flow was clearly rushed and not polished correctly.

What would have made it better, for example (just my opinion):

-Redistribute some of the major action from the last third to the middle third
-Shorten the movie on the whole
-Cut back on the toilet humor
-Nix the humping... that was so low-brow
-Get rid of the Twins. More screentime to guys like Ironhide, Sideswipe, etc. They were so underutilized in this movie.
-Devastator needed to be completely redone. I would have liked to see the Constructicons transform and fight individually before combining into Devastator, and he should have been a rather tall, upright robot instead of a hunkering, slow hulk with iron nuts. And he should have totally raped face instead of, you know, causing no damage and getting facepwnt by a railgun that's totally irrelevant to the plot. I was REALLY hoping for Devastator to, you know, devastate.
-The final fight against The Fallen needed to be a lot longer, suspenseful, epic, and intense. I don't think that fight lasted for longer than 30 seconds.
-Remedy the random plot gaps and remove unnecessary elements (come on, the Matrix rematerializing only when Sam dies and has the old Primes go "Whoops, sorry dude, go back"? No.)

I quite enjoyed the opening fights and the forest battle scene. A couple of the fights Bumblebee was in were pretty tight as well. But, other than that, I can't remember too many other fights because they were so forgetful. The movie was very intellectually-starved and it pretty much churned my mind into a whirling mash of gray matter and scrap, as it did to most of the people that went to watch this movie, haha.

Can someone explain to me why the main characters went to the Smithsonian in Washington D.C. to revive Jetfire, only to have him exit out of the building into a desert?

Movie was okay, plot was pretty muddled/didn't make sense. (Most of the) actions scenes and special effects were nice.

Went to see it today and I really enjoyed it. It wasn't a perfect movie by any means, but after hearing so many people talk trash about this movie and then actually seeing it, I found many of the criticisms unfounded. I laughed lots and enjoyed the experience.

downloaded it since I vowed never ever to pay to see a michael bay movie again.

I guess if you like CGI of vaguely metal things slapping each other then it's cool. Otherwise horrible plot, horrible dialogue and plot holes galore.
