Re: In The Groove
Yeah, I'm not much of an FA player since I never play anything lower than hard (usually play easy expert 9s and 10s for FAing). I suggest taking his advice because it definitely does help with your FA.
Too bad I didn't do that when I still played or I'd've probably had an Expert tristar by now =/. Since I played 9s and 10s for FA and such, I only have 6 double stars on expert and my best one is on Tribal Style -__________-

Re: In The Groove
Roxor's not making the game anymore, just like the arcade. I bought one on amazon last year but they're out of stock now. All I can find is PS2 version.

But yeah, as Xiao stated, there's really no reason your wrists should hurt from holding the bar unless the bar is too short or too tall. Or maybe you're gripping too hard, rofl.

Re: In The Groove
Usually when I bar rape, my wrists don't hurt, but my arms do get tired from holding it too long.

Re: In The Groove
Seeing all these godly players, I regret that I didn't keep playing DDR when 1st mix came out. ;( Butterfly and Kung Fu Fighting were about the only songs I played then iirc.

Re: In The Groove
Are you sure ITG ratings are based on passing difficulty? Because some ppl at ITG rebirth forum are saying otherwise.

Take Go 60 Go for example, the awkward teal notes in the song make it really difficult to FA which is why it's a 12. If ITG went by passing difficulty, it would have easily been rated an 11. Songs like Monolith/Hardcore Symphony are harder to pass and are far more stamina draining than Go 60 Go but got rated 11s. Why? There aren't any awkward rhythms to FA, everything in both of the songs are straight forward stream/triplets/or 8th notes which are incredibly easy to time. I passed Go 60 Go with 60.60% when I was still failing Monolith/Hardcore Symphony, so yeah, haha. Last edited by DarkCore; 07-5-2008 at 03:17 PM.. |

Re: In The Groove
If it's a combination of both, I don't think Chromatic Blitz(rebirth boss song) should be rated 14. It does look harder to pass than vertex^2, but some pros are already getting higher scores on CB than the highest score ever on vertex^2(97.87% on FIRST try), so I think it should be rated 13.

Re: In The Groove
ITG Rebirth is a bunch of fanmade crap. I have no idea what the hell they're doing; ITG1 and 2 official charts were a combination of both, anyway.

Re: In The Groove
I'm pretty sure someone beat that 97.87, with like a 98.12 or something like that btw...

And you'll be godly by the time you go to high school. Crap, I feel old...(20 next month).
I'm doing much worse these days. I can't do better than 80.xx% on the same song now. |
