Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
inconsistent difficulty generally means that most of your file is 1 difficulty.... but then you have 1 small section that is way way way harder. which is something we try to avoid in files.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Right SSH. And his SSH files are really fun, but he could step other songs, I was only naming a good stepartist that makes difficult files. I would REALLY love to have cetaka make some files for FFR. Maybe somehow get Carpet Muncher in here.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Question: I have this (IMHO) really good file to submit that we have permission for. Only one problem... near the very end of it, the song encounters yellow note syndrome. It's small and only the ending, but it's enough to be noticeable.
What methods of fixing this are okay given the rules and limitations of the FFR engine and review? Normally, I'd just add a pause. I'm unsure how to adjust for the small BPM change. Which method is acceptable for batch review? I don't want it to be rejected for technical reasons. That would suck. |

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Adding a pause works. FFR is able to handle it, and its not noticable with ffr's cmods

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
As buizel said, use a stop or BPM change, whatever is reflected in the music.
If your file has yellow note syndrome that is not musically justified it will be rejected.

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
Still waiting for someone to restep RATO. And most of the permissions I've gotten.
Sent in a cut of the first track in this player: www.myspace.com/teambongra Still waiting for someone to step something off of Doormouse's album on CRD (I mean seriously, Doormouse). And then there's Drumcorps, haven't found time myself to step any of it but it's so goddamn amazing. Most of the permissions I've gone for, I've gone for because their music could make amazingly hard files (just not Wisp and Bexarametric, their music is amazing but would make not too hard files).

Hey blu, I stepped like half your permissions.
TOO BAD YOU'RE NOT GOING TO GET TO PLAY THEM for at least like 4 more months or something EDIT- blu what was the rap song you stepped like half of (not hiphop2, but the crazy fast one) Cause I'd like to finish it hehe

Re: Queue/Batch Discussion Thread
hi and I tried stepping some DEV/NULL, but it was a pain in the rear to sync. Not to mention, he layers different music at different bpms.
I might try finishing stepping that someday. |

Submitted the new file, ended up having two very short pauses, hopefully that's acceptable.

Yeah DEV/NULL is a pain to step. Not all of it is uhh polybpm music. Which song did you try to step? Bolt thrower?
