Re: Psychoangel691's One Division Higher Tourney
It's a bit late to up your division now. Stay in D1 for the time being. You'll get into 2 for the OT

Re: Psychoangel691's One Division Higher Tourney
updated since all the D2's scored higher than me lol
i might get myself shoved into D3 on the OT for this score, but oh well. I'll just play where ever they decide to put me.

Re: Psychoangel691's One Division Higher Tourney
I need help.
Someone teach me how to get my stamina back. Since being sick, I've just lost the ability to not only read complex patterns (like 24ths) but my arms just can't handle it, yet I can still SDG Zombie Sunset with no problem but any other file is just absurd to play. Also, shoutout to me being under the red line!

When "Famicom Selecta" was chosen for the tourney a while back, I couldn't play it because it felt too fast. I was struggling to play it and it was very physically painful. Problem was apparently that I couldn't read it. Turned my speed mod from 2.7 or something down to 2.3 and I could play SO much better and nearly effortlessly. So reading is a huge issue. To fix: Try changing your speed mod around. Lowering it is probably the best choice, as you need to get used to recognizing patterns and stuff first (even though it seems like it'd be tougher since the arrows will be more cluttered - I thought the same). If you don't want to lower it altogether and get used to that, increase it drastically (by .4 or more) and play for a while like that. It'll be hard to read and hard to play cause it'll feel like you're struggling to keep up. After you get a little bit better at it, lower it again. Once you feel more comfortable reading patterns, here comes the grind. I played a LOT of Etude for the Sinners and thinking of you because they are very demanding in terms of stamina. My score on thinking of you has reduced from 293-26-14-31 (at that point I could've done better on StepMania, it was mostly because I couldn't read it) to 27-1-0-3 in a matter of a week (which is probably one of my best scores, I'm extremely proud of it). Hopefully some of this helps a little bit some other good files to play a lot to try to improve stamina are bursty and constant things (that usually end up being 90+, even if they hurt and you get terrible scores). Things like La Campanella, Winter Wind Etude (very stamina intensive I think, for slightly slower patterns with small bursts), Husigi blablabla, and most of the other last page Dance 2, Misc, and Classical songs (some arcade too). Then on FFRmania engine, play some of the ending files in D2 (things labeled 5-x or F-x in the first or second packs), in Classical (the mina packs), and Misc (midare packs). Some recommendations that I've been using are DISREGARD and Romeo (search to find them - easy). Then going back to FFR to check stamina by playing things like Rave7, Heteroblablabla and RATO helps, especially if you can see progress. Once you feel like you aren't progressing anymore for the day/night, stop and when you come back the next day you should be able to push yourself a little bit farther until you're back to your prime. I'm a little bit past my prime atm and it's getting really really hard to improve now, I haven't seen much progress at all in the past few days. Good luck, and hope you're feeling better for the official! Last edited by dell2150; 09-26-2014 at 07:29 PM.. |
