Re: Coloring Contest #2
not participating in this one, because I can't turn this cat into myself lol. Also, too many things to do as drum majorette =]
and, truthfully, I can't compete with wood cat or techno cat |

Re: Coloring Contest #2
Sorry it took me so long to submit. Also, I hope you don't mind that I substituted the sun with an explosion. Knowing your audience is half the battle... |

I won't try. P.S.: It looks like you took stocks of a cat and a flower and adapted them to fit well with the picture. The hat looks like you did it yourself (camo brush, maybe). If you actually painted all that from scratch then you're amazing. O_O |

I didn't paint the background myself. I took a photo of desertish land, used the cutout filter and burned that over the original blurred a tad. The sky is a cloud filter with little contrast and an explosion screened over it. I used a stock photo of a cat just to select colors from. I used a fur brush I made (that's just a few dots of different sizes placed randomly) to paint all the fur, later smudging it with a smaller size of the same brush to make it even furrier. The eyes were painted with a normal brush. The hat was painted with a normal brush. On the shoes, I used several strokes of a 1 px brush and a grunge brush to give it texture. I also used a custom brush for the blood. I based the flower off a lotus, even though they don't look anything like that shape. Lots of tiny strokes and blurred strokes, blending styles and all that. Everything pretty much used a lot of blurred thick strokes for highlights. And then a photo filter to warm it all up, to make it all red so it all fits. ... Yeah. I think that's about everything. |

The coloring ends Friday, so that's when the voting starts.
