Also, lul 16v16 FFR. Actually, going along with that, you could make it so that all 32 people are playing the same song, and use the cumulative raw/combo score to decide the winner. /giving rediculous suggestions to adminz >.<

Now for the public vote, that will be an interesting thing. Perhaps one of you admins could get started on a voting form? Or should we just do a poll. Lol. Either way, the accepted skins will be released to the public via a viewing method where everyone can view them at will. If the submitting users really want their skin to be viewed if it isn't accepted, we MIGHT show those as well but they won't be part of the vote.

Re: [BW Contest] I'll Skin You Alive!
That works too.
Lol I just was thinking about the 16v16 again, and I only just realized how derpy the connection would probably be.

Re: [BW Contest] I'll Skin You Alive!
Yeah, 16v16 would definitely have to be you, playing, with no other displays except MAYBE a score or accuracy for the other fifteen players, which I honestly don't know why you would try to watch 15 peoples' scores while playing a song on FFR. But, hey, you could probably just somehow write the script to hold the song from starting until all sixteen were on the song, and from there just simply compare all of the scores at the end. There's no point in displaying all 16 gameplay screens obviously. As a spectator maybe you could choose one person to view and the other 15 would be text based.
/end justin_ator suggesting outrageous ideas

SIU is going to be back? Lolz. Also, I suck at designing on computers but I'm looking forward to seeing the winners. :3

Hand-draw it. I think that would be sick if you could pull it off. Just make sure it's easy to see what everything is. Lol. =]

Re: [BW Contest] I'll Skin You Alive!
Hand drawn would be slick, because vectoring using a pencil brush would be cool!
Imagine FFR using buttons and themes styled like my sig. :O

Re: [BW Contest] I'll Skin You Alive!
I've got a friend who would be a beast at getting the hand drawn one designed....too bad he isn't into FFR.

I myself can't design anything but watching people put some effort into this will be interesting.
Good luck to all the designers. |

Re: [BW Contest] I'll Skin You Alive!
Good =] Mine is coming along great. Been seeing a few submissions, all of em are looking like they're off to a good start. Mods/Admins, we need to fill those last two positions. If they aren't filled when I come back, we'll be going to the community. I think I know who we might ask, but I'll talk it over with ymia and Velo soon.

Ahh, it's good to be back home from Hershey Park. Hey Justin, how many submissions have there been so far?

Re: [BW Contest] I'll Skin You Alive!
Just got to a computer today, so I just saw your question. There have been a handful. What I am going to do is let the submissions ride out until August, and then distribute to the judges. I'll have it ready to go by then. I'm going to update the list in the main post with submissions and whatnot, as well as get the other thread updated. I just need a few minutes to get my act together lol. ymia, expect a PM from me shortly.

Re: [BW Contest] I'll Skin You Alive!
I'll do one since it will be good practice for the interfaces of my future games.
How long do we have? And since only 7 random judges will judge each skin, and independently so, I think it's really important to institute universal score thresholds. If an 8/10 from one judge is approximately equivalent to a 10/10 from another judge, there's going to be unfair discrepancies when only one of them judges a skin. The discrepancies are bigger than when all judges score each skin because then everyone gets the off-balanced score(s). |

Re: [BW Contest] I'll Skin You Alive!
I see what you are saying, but I don't really know any way to fix that considering we have judges that are going to be submitting (can't judge their own skin...).
And as far as how long you have, until we decide we have enough submissions. It could be a while. I'm not even going to distribute what I have until I get back on August 1st, so there won't even be any judging happening until then.
