Re: Ummm... wtf?
svchost.exe... rofl.
svchost.exe runs all your comps .dll files, because a .dll file can't be run directly from Windows, they created 'svchost.exe'. It's an executable file (which can be launched directly by Windows) and basically hosts all your computers drivers (.dll files). One service host is used for audio/video drivers. One is used for everything related to your User Interface... etc. They're set in groups that make sense. That way, if one .dll file fails it won't crash Windows (like you did ). There are some svchost.exe's that you can end, but I wouldn't recommend it... During my initial frustration at this laggy computer I toyed around with my audio/video drivers... I eventually found out by terminating that svchost.exe (which ran my video drivers) FFR ironically ran smoother. ...The catch was, it also ran slower. This is arrow slowdown people. My other account was blacklisted. DON'T DO IT. The arrows scrolled at about .5x rate (with minimal arrows on screen) and adjusted down to as much as what felt like .2x (with solid walls of arrows), and were ridiculously easy to hit. I probably could have AAA'ed Death Piano if I had bothered sitting there for half an hour to play one song... The Mods will know who I am, but I'd prefer to remain as anonymous as possible... I'll just patiently wait until I get my new motherboard until I can play properly again Quote:
Last computers mobo got fried. Saving for a new one. Probably gonna get the Gigabyte MA-790FX-DS5 mobo Depends... Might change my mind. ... Cancel that. I WILL change my mind, rofl. With 2 months to think about it, there's always something better |

That "extra weight" is what we subscribers call a Pull Down List of Songs. It's quite useful. Enjoy, non-subscribers.

Umm, we've had that feature for quite a while now. Feels like over a month, don't know for sure though.
Nothing big changed as far as I can tell... Seriously, wtf doubled the memory usage? |

Re: Ummm... wtf?
I've now had Tass, Sprite-, and Synth post in here, and I still don't know why I can no longer use the one thing on the internet that I actually looked forward to coming home to every day. I guess I could try for the 1,100+ Boos on and pass on Silence ST though... Too bad I can only get it once or might have actually entertained me long enough until I got a new motherboard -___- |

Re: Ummm... wtf?
Yeah. This 'waterweight' has turned my computer from being able to show the notes on a FMO and I could pass it with some mashing.. To not being able to read a VD and failing it.
And if tass fixes it, i'll never punch him again. xD Edit: I even attempted closing windows explorer. It's not helping. Last edited by iluswirl; 08-1-2008 at 09:46 AM.. |

Gah, this is pissing me off..
I thought it was Aim or MSN I got rid of both and it stayed.. I don't like this.. It's killed 2 of my FMO Fc's and I can't even lower my avg cause of it right now. |

Not cool, lagging like crazy now.

One of the 8 saying it runs fine is a Mod with 0k load, the other is Phynx with same. I think a large portion of the community is going to give up playing competitively if the near 50% lag VS 50% non lag stats seen here are global. You can consider this post my provisional FFR retirement until I either get a new motherboard, or the 848k version is made available somehow. EDIT: I <3 multiquote, rofl.

Haha, not that I was speaking for you persay... but I'm pretty sure I am spot on with my suspicions as to what the extra "water weight" is for.
