I know that most of the people I respect as posters on this forum in real life are probably not the people I want as real life friends. Also my best friend joined this forum and I wanted to flame the living crap out of every post he made.

Find your sexual partners in real life through real life activities/groups/social circles you associate with. It takes about 5 minutes to gauge whether someone is a potential partner in real life. You can talk to someone online for years and end up being disappointed in real life.

Yeah, I find it especially weird that I have had a ton of friend requests from random girls. I reject them all, and that's the end of it.

The only person I think I'd get along with in real life is Manti, but I have yet to meet him.

And it is completely true that people act much differently on the internet than in real life. I am no exception. (Take swearing for example. I bet quite a few of us are potty mouths irl, regrettably including myself as of late, but on the internet, you can think about what you type before you post, and thus you don't swear on the internet.)

Personally, I think it depends on your values and your personality. More cautious people always condone Inter-dating, but you need to meet in person to find a match, so if doing it over here will lead you there, then so be it.
