Re: American Accent.
Evidently I have a Western accent (which is almost identical to neutral), yet I live in New York.
How am I not neutral? Is it that I say pasta (pawsta)? Or is it that I pronounce roof exactly like one would pronounce the o's in food? I'm perplexed.

Re: American Accent.
I have neutral. I have moved once. I just don't live in those city areas where you know where people would talk like that. I just lived in small towns.
Even though this is somewhat irrelevant, I wonder if Canada calls a parking lot a "car park" like the U.K. does. |

Re: American Accent.
No. Lol. It's called a parking lot. xD
EDIT: I was actually wondering earlier this morning how the hell we developed an American accent. I mean, we supposedly came from the British. And then we somehow lost out British accent and developed an American one? =\

Re: American Accent.
I'm pretty much as neutral as it gets, even though I live in NY.
Hey guys guess what, NY exists outside NYC, and we're nothing alike! |

Re: American Accent.
Western
I lived in the west for the last 4 years. Western is kind of neutral, but not quite since it's still possible to tell where you're from. So you might not actually be from the West (but you probably are). If you really want to sound "neutral," learn how to say "stock" and "stalk" differently. |

Re: American Accent.
I was deemed neutral, although I live in southern Louisiana. That sure is an accurate quiz, there. ô_ô

Re: American Accent.
I got Western.
I live in North Carolina. I guess that's why New Yorkers say I have a southern accent and southerners say I have a Yankee accent?

Re: American Accent.
North Central. Quiz was dead on for me. I am about a 15 minute walk from Duluth, MN. North Central is the "Minnesota accent" so it is right. Wisconsin FTW.

Re: American Accent.
Apparently I have a North-Central "Minnesota" accent. In reality though, I'm probably....um, well I'm not sure. I say things like "pop" but I pronounce "z" as in "zee". A mix I guess.
