I'm probably getting a mechanical keyboard because the one I'm using now (logitech) has mechanical keys haha and I'm comfortable with this kb other than the fact that it's 5 years old. Does logitech make any other mechanical ones?

go and read both of the links I posted and actually research what keyboard design even does before you come on this topic and try to talk like your $15 keyboard is the same as a $250 happy hacking pro

no matter how much you like/dislike the keyboards
a mechanical keyboard will still take less effort to press the keys and will still respond quicker than a normal keyboard because its designed that way
its a scientific fact and it is not open to interpretation

the only reason you choose a different keyboard over a mechanical keyboard = you do not have enough money

Its called Im not stupid enough to waste hundreds of dollars on a keyboard that I'm using for a game where I'm sitting there smashing the keys to oblivion. If you wish to live in a world where you believe the response time of a keyboard determines how well of a player you are go ahead. Assuming you have all the money in the world and can afford one of these and are currently use one of these keyboards, I dont see why you are such a ****ty player at this game. There are so many people on this game who dont use it and whoop ass, what does that tell ya, it doesnt matter what ****ing keyboard you use that determines how well you play this game. Hell leonid used that happy hacking kb and switched from that to a slim scissor key keyboard and he played better. What does that say? So go take your hundred dollar mechanical keyboard and shove it up your ass because it isnt doing you much good.

About $200 last time I checked. Same price goes for the Happy Hacking Keyboard.
The reason why I don't use HHKB anymore is not because it isn't slim, but because key inputs are registered before the keys are pressed all the way down. This makes it hard to accurately hit notes in the rhythm games, since you need to hit keys with correct timing AND exact force and velocity.




Nowadays I use MacBook Pro laptop keyboard. It has been giving me a lot of ridiculous scores lately.


I still use HHKB for programming though.

the keyboard was so absolutely brilliant that the speeds that can be achieved with it are so far beyond the comprehension of even an exceptionally skilled player that it would take years of special training and dedication before you reach the pinnacle of perfection
