m37 some of the 4th notes aren't jumps m38 missing an 8th note m38 right at the end is 32nds, which you stepped as 24th in the following sections m40 24ths are 32nds m46 24ths are 32nds m47 missing the bass drum on the 8th as is done in m42, for example m48 24ths are 32nds m49 what you have stepped as a jump on the first 8th is a tap right after, and it's not a jump in any other part m50 those 16ths simply are not audible at 1x and would be better off stepping the noise that is prominent and has been stepped in the previous beats m54 broken vocal is stepped as a gallop but is a tap right after at m55 m56 24ths are 32nds m58 kind of the same 16ths issue as in m50 m62-63 nothing merits them being hands imo; they are the same sound that has been jumps throughout the song, but the first note at m63 could be due to the vocal, same with all others with vocals on them, also beat 253 has a sound at the 8th interval and you have a hand at 3/16ths m66 missed a jump on the 8th m68 don't understand the hand; there is no cymbal to start this section as in m64 m78 don't understand the taps. if they're going to the pseudo-vocal sound, they aren't at such intervals, although the last 16ths are right m84 imo a jump works better than a hand going into the stream. really only the bass drum is audible -- example: m132 is better as a hand since the bass drum and cymbal are audible m88 same thing, although you could keep the hand and in the following stream step every 8th note as a jump based on the percussion to increase difficulty and avoid repetition. the percussion eventually speeds up to 3/32nds and changes up a bit which is cool, and flows nicely into the climax which is pretty well done m109 missing a few jumps m113 and on 16th triplets are totally inaudible unless super slowed down (and there is actually at least 1 that is missed, but it'd be better if they not be stepped at all) m135 imo double the bpm going into the end, and diversify the pattern rather than just repeated [12][34] jumptrill i may have missed or hypercorrected some missed/extra jumps since it's hard to listen well to the prominent melody over the background to see which one should be a jump, but there were at least a few errors and i probably didn't get all of them just post it |

Re: "Play/Test/Judge my simfile" thread V2
Moving this post here since I put it in the wrong thread the first time. >.>
Song: Gourmet na Aitsu Artist: YMCK Difficulty: Not sure what the standard scale is so I just went off of the ODI3 pack scale. Put it as a 16 since the 48th run is pretty insane, but if anyone has a better number I'm all ears. Style: 4key Length: 3:40 Link: YMCK - Gourmet na Aitsu Notes: I know some parts are a little messy but it's pretty much complete (for this difficulty anyways). The banner and background are just temp as well. I'm no artist :P Mostly just looking for tips since I haven't done this in years and I was never really super good at it to begin with I think. EDIT: Updated the file so it now has three difficulties just for the hell of it and fixed some random things. Still doesn't feel right though...

just gave it a quick playthrough, im not a fan of hold usage. makes for some awkward patterns and seems extremely excessive almost all the time, but i did like the long holds that played along with the chorus holds. The 13 should be the main chart. 48ths create ridiculous difficulty spike. I'm sure someone else can give you more detailed notes. Has potential. Title: Daiki Kasho, Alan Brey - Princia Ramode's theme (from f-zero gx/ax)
Style: 4key Length: 1:36 BPM: 120 Difficulty: hard 9footer Additional info: i'd say it's complete (looking for crit though), and probably suited for spread players dl: http://www.mediafire.com/download/jv...cia_ramode.rar tried my hand at layering of some sort, in contrast to my other simfiles from years ago which were just notes after notes. also i have no idea how to add cdtitles, banners or backgrounds to it |

m8-m16 i wouldn't use holds for both the lead and bg guitar at the same time m11 don't understand why these are jumps, see in m15 the same sound is just single notes m25 vocal 12ths aren't correct. it's just 1 note m28 16th vocal should be a 12th m29 the 12th triplet should be a 16th triplet at the 2nd half of the beat m32 not really a good reason for it to be a quad, especially a quadhold i would consider stepping the snare as jumps in a lot of places like m16-29 for example otherwise it's pretty good in general. i'm not a fan of spamming miniholds but that's subjective. You can't post a link until you have at least five posts, if I recall correctly. It was put in place to prevent spam bots from running rampant on the forums immediately after registration.

A majority of the file made sense to me. For the most part you follow percussive stuff (standard procedure). But there's a couple things that confused me. The start to 26.848 felt heavy on the doubles to me. You switch what you have jumps on a couple times, then add triples to accent different things. It seemed inconsistent to me. I got confused on the last jumpstream because I wan't sure what the doubles went to. After opening it up in ddream and slowing the music down I figured it out that you were following a synth thing. Point being I couldn't tell why I was supposed to hit a jump at 121.713 and 124.899. A majority of the file, you have doubles on the clap (for lack of a better word) sounds. The clap things are going on in the last jumpstream where you're following a synth thing and your arn't doing anything about the claps that you obviously liked earlier in the file. The last thing that bothered me was the ending where you have the 4 3 [12] triplets. Add a beat at the tail end of the file and finish out the bass thud things. The arrows just end so abrubtly while the roll that you've been stepping keeps going when the arrows stop. I don't think there should be a double at 139.134 and you should have a jump near 139.260. I want to say one thing about the mines. I don't really think they add much to the file. You can definitely justify the quad of mines separating parts of the file, but there's nothing going on at that moment. I didn't like the string of mines at the beginning on the right either. The first one in that string should suffice given the situation. I'm tired now, and when I looked at it a second time I had paused ddream when the autoplay was on a right arrow hold. So I got a string of mine sounds that cracked me up. I'm tired. Ok? I don't hate the file (or the song choice). I think you stepped the middle hold section well. And the heavy guitar sections seemed clear to me. Have fun making this WIP to a completed file! |

Song: Virt - Micro Media Broth
Style: 4-key Length: 3:03 Difficulty: 70? (1-99) Notes: Use cmod. I think I'm going to send this in to the batch, but I want to hear some final opinions before I do so. Critique as harshly as you like! DL: Micro Media Broth (Zephei)
