And I've been looking for more Fantasy authors, can you name some good ones? I've heard of R. A. Salvatore, but I'm semi-intimidated by the fact that I can't figure out which one of his books is the beginning o_O

EDIT: also saying you can't like a punk band's music because you don't like the artists' personalities is like saying you don't like a hot dog because the guy who sold it to you was a racist.

Continue the discussion in the books, authors and everything in between thread, but off the bat I'm gonna say read Terry Brooks, starting with the Sword of Shannara, read Robert Jordan, starting with The Eye of the World, and read Frank Herbert's Dune.

Well you kinda can with NoFX. That's what ticked me off. He trying to sound so punk and he ends up soundly like a complete twat and ruins everything. I can't listen to him without wanting to punch him.
