Rogue Galaxy pissed me off in the last hour. I still haven't finished, after putting around 30 hours into the game, because it pissed me off so bad.

Re: PS2 Game Suggestions
On the contrary, Tales of the Abyss is so good you'll want to play a second time immediately after finishing your first. That video was just one fight. There are other fights that can last even longer. If you're underleveled, any boss fight can be like that.
Of course, if you put the hardest fights in the game on the hardest difficulty (you can change difficulty any time you want), then yeah it's going to be hard. I tried to fight the hardest enemy in the game at level 150 on the second-hardest difficulty. I did six damage per hit. It had two million HP. I died in one hit. Edit: Oh, Rogue Galaxy is a Level 5 game? Then I'm not interested. Dark Cloud sucked. Level 5 sucks at plot development in their RPGs. The story is the most important aspect of ANY RPG, so you can see why I hate their games. Last edited by Squeek; 10-10-2007 at 10:32 PM.. |

Re: PS2 Game Suggestions
It goes like this - everyone levels pretty much at the same time, regardless of party rotation, which is cool. But their weapons don't, and that's the important thing - because you get split up for the final boss fight. Which is no good.
I went through the entire fight using sub-par equipment for everyone excpet my main three. And then the final final boss that you fight, I accidentally got killed. There's no way I'm doing that hour long boss fight again, because that sucked. And I'm not levelling up everyone's weapons, because that would take hours, dammit. Also, Squeek, is Tales of the Abyss better than Legendia? Because I got about 7 hours into Legendia and got really bored.

Re: PS2 Game Suggestions
Legendia was not made by Namco Tales studio, the guys behind every other Tales game. They randomly decided to use some other developer for Legendia. Thus, it sucked.

Oh, cool. I mean, I had fun for the first 7 hours or so, but I kept reading reviews that said it picked up at the 20 hour mark... And if I'm not having fun by hour 7, I'm probably not going to keep slugging along.

Re: PS2 Game Suggestions
Purchased Tales of the Abyss. Only about 6 hours in so far but it's really fun. I like the battle sequences a lot.
Just beat Dist (for the first time?) and it seemed that there was a huge jump in difficulty. Barely beat him... Purchase Psi-Ops but haven't played it yet. Going to borrow Baldur's Gate games from a friend eventually. Beat the first 3 colossi in Shadow of the Colussus. Such a fun and pretty game. Edit: Btw, Luke is ****ing annoying.

Here are my faves:
Fighting - Tekken 2, 3 and 4 Racing - GT3 Adventure - Jak II, Red Dead Revolver Rythym - DDR Extreme2, DDR SuperNOVA2 Arcade - Namco Museum Shooter - Time Crisis 3 These games (most of them are like a couple years old) would be good.
