there is another place where you can get ddr (not many ffr) songs. go to www.live365.com and there you can register and then find ddr freak raido. its the same as this one but even better

Wrong thread and forum, Jones.
I do miss some of the songs that used to play on FFR radio, though, even though they weren't FFR or DDR related.

A couple things since I was able to find this thread. First, the broadband stream seems to work fine for me. I run it through WinAmp at home and RealPlayer at school/work. However, there are times when my computer's doing a lot of stuff which causes the stream to buffer quite a bit. I wanted to use the lower quality stream (WinAmp version) which there's a link for on the web page here, but it didn't work. I was getting some sort of connection refused error. Was the stream removed, but the link left up or something?
Live365 does have a few stations that play DDR style music. The DDR Freak station mentioned above is one of them. Personally though, I tend to prefer the Bemani 3-65 station because they play full length versions of the songs, not just the ~2 minute game versions of them. I don't think you actually have to register for Live365 to play their streams. Maybe, but I did register a long time ago and don't remember anymore. Registering does allow you to keep a list of favorite stations and stuff like that though and it's free so it's not a bad idea to register. Shoutcast might have a few besides this site's FFR Radio station, but I'm not sure.

Is the radio harmful to the computer because my computer says that it could be harmful

Your computer probably has insanely high security/privacy settings so it's being overly paranoid. No, I don't think any web radio station is a serious threat to your computer. I've been listening to a bunch of different ones for years and I don't think anything bad has ever come from it.

It says that because its a pearl script file (.pls) I believe most computers think .exe files are also harmful Generally most filea are harmful if you get them from an unknown source |

No, the .pls extension here means it's a WinAmp playlist. I don't know if perl scripts use the same extension, maybe they do, but I have downloaded and looked at playlist files before. They're just text files with the URLs of the radio streams in them and maybe a little other info that Winamp uses. You know what the one from the FFR Radio Winamp (Hi) link in the left menu says? I just looked. Here you go:
[playlist] NumberOfEntries=1 File1=http://207.44.158.35:8000/ That's it. It just points to the audio stream so unless you think audio streams are harmful, it's safe to play web radio stations like this. And FWIW, I've never gotten a warning when trying to run playlist files like this so I still say you have rather high privacy/security settings if you're getting warnings on listening to a web radio stream.
