Re: Resident Evil 5
I bought Resident Evil 4 for Wii on the Resident Evil 5 release day lolol, but I've played it with my friend, and since I'm the godliest beast that has ever burdened a RE4 disc, I was pretty good on RE5 l,,l I'm buying it for the PS3 when I get a PS3 of course, because I have no use for a stupid Xbox :/

Re: Resident Evil 5
Yeah I had it pre-ordered, I posted about it in the xbox360 thread.
Currently on chapter 2-1, but we don't have too much time to play it together so it'll probably last a while. I'm enjoying it but I preferred how Resident Evil used to be as a survival-horror game rather than now as an action film game. Still, being able to co-op the whole game is pretty interesting. Shame that the AI (when I tried it) was so horrible. At the end of chapter 1-1 she was already out of ammo yet still never used her knife. I'm sitting there shouting at her to use her knife and she's running around getting killed making me replay scenes. Screw getting anywhere with that. Re: Resident Evil 5
Id buy it again in a heart beat. Just beat it the first time, now going through and farming for infinite ammo and better weapons, then onto achievements.

Re: Resident Evil 5
Yeah unlimited ammo is epic. You can have it for any of the upgradable weapons. You unlock the option to buy inlimited ammo for a weapon once you've upgraded that weapon to the fullest.
I'm playing through with a unlimited AK-37. Then selling like everything I find. I'm looking for all the emblems and trying to unlock the master weapons. So far I got the best hand gun and the mini gun.

Re: Resident Evil 5
I was a weapon away from having all of them and had fully upgraded 5 but my data got screwed up somehow, so I'm back at the beginning again, working my way back to the top...eventually.

Re: Resident Evil 5
Am I the only one who is bothered by the fact that you can't move when you're aiming? I'm playing the demo, and I have to resort to running away from enemies (especially the axe guy and the chainsaw guy), turning around, shooting, and running away again.
I'm not asking for Gears of War, but maybe even being able to walk while aiming would be nice. |

Re: Resident Evil 5
The point of being rooted to the spot is supposed to raise the challenge a little bit. I don't really find it to be a problem because my brother runs around with a sniper rifle and picks off people while I do most of the challenges and killing lesser enemies. Our tactic for taking out chainsaw people is I get it to chase me and he pops it with the sniper, easy as pie.

Re: Resident Evil 5
This game is good. Me and my roommate put it on Veteran on our first run through. We hit a few snags, but we got through pretty quickly. I wouldn't say the game is hard, just a few things hit you out of nowhere and the next thing you know... You're dead...
P.S. SPOILER ALERT!!!!!!! Before the game even came out, I guessed that the woman in the cloak getup was Jill, and that she wasn't actually dead. Capcom doesn't really have the greatest of plot twists (all are easily guessable). Last edited by macgravel; 03-19-2009 at 10:08 AM.. |

Are you implying that this game was a PS3 exclusive and Capcom turned around and said, "We can have it on the 360 too. But we have to take out the move and shoot thing. For some reason. Even though it has nothing to do with the console". I'm pretty sure the game was meant for the 360 and PS3, but if it wasn't, what the hell kind of difference does that make anyway. If you're upset that you have neither console that can play it then yeah, that sucks. I'm just thrown off by the whole, "It wasn't meant to be an xbox game".

It's just that Resident Evil 4 was on the Gamecube, then PS2, then Wii. Started with Nintendo, dabbled in Sony, and upgraded for Nintendo again (never touched Microsoft). Now I fully understand that the Wii has no capability to handle these kinds of graphics, and you should know that that's why it's the only system that can't support RE5. I'm anti-Xbox, mostly just because of the hardcore fanatics, and they are the only people who are so close-minded that they can't appreciate a game that isn't a first-person shooter. |

Re: Resident Evil 5
Got bored last night and took my boredom out on Am mode, got S rank in everything, total time almost under 3 hours. Has anyone looked at the Leaderboards and seen like for chapter 1, a total time of 11 minutes or so? Ive played the first chapter enough to know where I'm going with no problem, but I cant get under 9 minutes of 1-1, anyone know something that I don't?
