The guy who can smile at his death and honestly say he had a good life has a happy ending. The thing about endings is that when it really comes down to it, only the person dying is the only one who can decide whether or not it's happy.

Re: Do you believe in happy endings? @.@
I don't believe in happy endings nor tragic endings. I don't believe in endings at all.
Life is a continuous concept. Even if all of the human race was wiped out by some sort of super-virus, the universe would continue to exist and another form of life would begin to thrive from our annihilation. So, there really is never any sort of ending...

AOD, asking people who have died and come back to life what happened wouldn't accomplish anything. The sole reason is the idiots that don't believe in after life conscious won't believe what they say.

Some people are lucky. They always have happy endings. Some others are not so lucky. So, life is a mixed bag.

Sometimes happy endings make some people sad, therefore being sad endings.

Re: Do you believe in happy endings? @.@
There could be. But honestly, any ending is the beginning of something. Granted, if someone dies, THAT persons life is over. But think of the ones affected by the persons death. Does that ending not create the beginning of something else? It's all in how you look at it. Women dieing giving birth, for example. The end of one life, yet the beginning of another. People beginning to deal with the loss of that mother, and beginning a chapter without her. I don't know really...it's deep if you don't take it too literally.

If you believe in afterlife, there's no point in discussing this. What's after one phase of afterlife? Do you go into the next? Those questions have no answer atm.
However, I do not believe in afterlife. When you die... you die. And in this case, it's certainly possible to die happy.

I find most (not all) people who believe in an conscious after life are idiots but you don't see me expressing that. Please keep these thoughts to yourself as it's really hard not to argue with them.
