He coded it as best he could at the time, which is said to be way better than anything possible at the time. Today it may seem like shitty coding, but back then it was incredible. |

Re: FFR Community Engine
-cough- Bump for an update. Engine will be down (or crashing) for a little bit.
I'm actually in the process of uploading Foxfire667's entire offline megapack onto the engine. I cannot guarantee or fix any of the sync on the files, but you will find them in Classical (Difficulties 4-10) and Misc (Difficulties 11-13). Like I said, you may have to adjust offset, but I can't help it as all I have is the swf files he converted himself. So I can't change the sync. I'll update the OP with some of this info in a minute. (137 new files) I'll update this post when files are moved and engine should run correctly. EDIT1: Forgot to mention, I'm open to submissions now haha.

Re: FFR Community Engine
About halfway, I'm averaging about a minute a file x____________x
Blargh, uploaded finally, but nothing new is showing up for me. I'll troubleshoot and get this worked out later. I'm so tired ;________; Troubleshooting, but things still aren't working and I'm not happy about it. I think I'm going to re-upload a chunk at a time and rename the files entirely to see if I can get them to work then. FOUND IT AND HOLY FUC THIS IS GOING TO TAKE FOREVER TO FIX. Why the FUC does Notepad have two types of ' ? WHAT THE HELL. Only one type is recognized, meaning that when it ran the data it found nothing....reuploading all the songs.... I'll update when it finishes. Got it all up, enjoy. Also updated the OP with what you'll find in the engine.

Re: FFR Community Engine
Bump for a few things, weeeeeee
1. I have a converter, file uploading will resume now. If you have a file that you stepped that you might want people to play-test, feel free to PM me. I'd rather not do very many though, so please do limit yourselves. 2. I'm going to be working on re-organizing the genres sometime soon, so that they are organized by difficulty once again, and songs are where they should be. 3. I've been messing around with the Velocity engine (thank you Velo for being kind enough to allow me to play with it) and what I have done so far can be found here. Most of it is aesthetic changes, but I hope to do a few other more interesting things in the near future. I'm still learning how Jon's code actually runs, so adding/editing things has been...interesting to say the least.

Re: FFR Community Engine
Justin if you want someone to add the two seconds of silence to songs that preexist, shoot the original chart my way and I can do it for you. It doesn't take me that long to do for me and it saves you from having to I can do it for newer stuff as well if you'd like.
(Assuming that's still a problem sometimes...) Also the Ben thing is hilarious. |
